Gandalf and I rode to the outskirts of the Shire when he stops.
"Gandalf, what's wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing Cera, but I believe I should see this Hobbit alone." He said.
"Ok, what shall I do while I wait for you?" I asked.
"Fish, we are going to need a lot of food." He said. As he got off of his horse and started to walk away.
I got off of Emerald, and fashioned me a fishing rod and fished.
Someone might find his behavior odd, but with him being my godfather it was normal for me.
After a while Gandalf returned, I looked up and smiled "How did it go?" I asked him.
"Good. We will meet at Bag-end tonight. I put the rune wealth on the door, I will meet you there." He said untying his horse and rode off.
I rolled my eyes and sat and waited. Once the sun set it got up and went to look for this door.
When I found the door I rung the doorbell and waited. A Hobbit with brown hair and brown eyes answered.
"Caerabeth, at your service, may I come in?" I said.
"Uh, Bilbo Baggins, at your, sure." He said stepping aside to allow me to enter.
I entered the small Hobbit hole and looked around to see that I had interrupted his supper.
"I'm sorry I interrupted you meal. May I use your kitchen to make dinner for the rest?" I asked.
"Rest? How many more are coming?" He asked.
"I don't know. But could I?" I asked.
"Sure." He said.
At that moment the doorbell rang again. And Bilbo went to answer it.
I was just getting the fish I caught out when I heard a voice I hadn't heard since him and his brother and traveled to Lothlórien.
I poked my head around the corner in time to hear Bilbo ask, "D-do we know each other?"
"No. Which way, laddie? Is it down here?" A tall bald dwarf asked.
"Master Dwalin!" I said rushing out.
"Beth! What are you doing here?" He asked.
"Cooking dinner, and I presume the same reason you are here." I said.
"And have you met Thorin yet?" He asked.
"Yes. And he isn't happy, but he accepted my help. Could you see if there is anymore food around I am pretty sure fish won't be enough?" I said.
"Sure." He said.
"Look, I wasn't expecting company." Bilbo said at the smell time the doorbell rang.
"That will be the door." Dwalin said.
"Dwalin I wonder why he isn't expecting company." I said.
"I don't know." Dwalin said trying to get a biscuit out of a jar he found.
"Oh, ha ha! Evening brother. Heh heh." I turned to see Balin, who is an old, white haired dwarf.
"Oh, by my beard, you are shorter and wider then last we met." Dwalin said.
"Wider not shorter. Sharp enough for both of us." Balin said.
Laughing, they greet each other amicably. Putting their arms on each other's shoulders, they smash their foreheads together. Bilbo looked on in wonder as I laughed.
