"You have some explaining to do." Beth said.
"I beg your pardon?" Mrs. Belcwood turned to face Beth. They had been walking down the narrow hallway. They approached the classroom.
"Who is Kylie?" Beth questioned. "Kylie Belcwood. Jane and I were Googling accidents at our school and-"
"People can be very cruel." Mrs. Belcwood interjected. "And that's why you can't sit with your little friend Elaine. And that's why Rose taunts you. Thank you for not letting it get to you."
"Get to me what?" Beth was confused.
"I-I"
"You what?""I was Kylie."
.*:.:*.
"...It is very important to stay grounded." Mrs. Belcwood continued. Jane was messing with something under her desk and Beth was drawing on a piece on notebook paper. Neither one was paying any attention to the lesson.
"When Hollows feel extravagant emotion, the have a hard time controling their powers."
"I don't ever control my Hollow," Beth scoffed, even though she knew the extact nature of the lesson. A girl sitting next to Jane leaned over.
"I'm so bored." she whispered to the pair. "How much longer until lunch?"
"Arcadia!" Mrs. Belcwood barked at the girl. Cady swung back around into her seat. Cady was completely normal, except for the fact that she was completely invisible. Although they had lunch at the same time, Cady sat with another girl who's hair changed color with her mood, and another girl who's Hollow was unknown. Beth liked Cady.
"Why are we even going over this?" Jane slumped down in her seat.
Beth's expression changed to something more serious. "I'm not allowed to tell you."
"What the hell?"
"I'm not supposed to tell you okay?" Beth might've shouted a little too loudly.
"Quiet Elizabeth!" Mrs. Belcwood redirected."Hollows should be very cautious of their limits. Never test yourself emotionally."
"Whatever," Cady breathed.
Jane giggled. Beth tensed up.
