Sakura wheezed and some of the leftover blood from her lungs came out. It trailed down and fell through the crack of her mask, splattering on the rubble she was standing on. "Dammit..."
Sakura was definitely low on chakra and knew that if it got any lower, she would die. However, she wanted to give a piece of her mind to the ignorant people that stood before her.
Hitoshi held her back by her waist before the pinkette could dare pull anything. "Stop. If you continue, you'll die."
"Knowing that hasn't stopped me before."
"Mouse."
The harsh and bitter tone from his mouth made her stop once more. "... I'm sorry."
She sat down on some rubble that was sticking out and held her fists together. Her identity wouldn't come out until later, but she couldn't help but be worried about it.
Of course, she couldn't possibly make a seal anymore because she had only prepared one bottle of ink. What wasn't used was now smeared on the concrete mixed in with the small shards of glass. It had broken in the fight with the Nomu.
The ink used in fuinjutsu wasn't all that special in a world of chakra, but the ink she had created had to be specially imbued with it. Not any store-bought ink would work.
Her clone was more than likely still active also due to the pills she gave it. Hopefully it wasn't too low yet. The information from the two clones hadn't reached her mind yet so she was still in the clear.
"Why did you help us?" a voice asked, slightly ragged.
Sakura turned to him, Eraserhead to be exact, and laughed, "Don't think too much about it. I owed someone and infiltrated the villains side. It's not so hard when they're recruiting people left and right."
"Who did you owe?"
"I'm not saying. You're not the police and I don't have any obligation to answer a question I don't feel like answering."
"How do I know if you're lying or not?"
"You don't, " she stated simply, "I almost died from the overuse of my power to save all of you, but I guess motives aren't always clear."
His eyes narrowed at her choice of words, "Power? You mean quirk."
Sakura shrugged and replied vaguely, "Who knows..."
Coughing once more, she looked to the top of the dome where the imprint of her body was. Her eyes wandered to the cracks and she slightly winced at the thought of having to remove tiny pieces of glass from her body.
"They should be here already, " she suddenly announced, "Heroes really are slow."
Finally the doors slammed open and a plethora of heroes barged in, all ready to fight. The villains left and apprehended by the students were rounded up and rendered defenseless for the police to take.
Sakura really wanted to try on the cuffs that cut off people's quirks. Her quirk suddenly disappearing was something she really wanted to try. What would happen to the information she would obtain during a vision if she put it on in the middle of it? Would the cuffs even do anything?
Her scientific attitude caused her hand to twitch slightly. Eraserhead's quirk was obviously meant to stop it but her quirk wasn't active at the time. "Could you... Give me a pair of those handcuffs?"
Everyone's attention flickered to her and their expressions suggested her own insanity. "What would you do with one?"
"Make a smaller version that I can wear so I don't have to deal with my stupid quirk again. I'm tired of dealing with other people's bullshit."
The venom dripping from her voice was obvious when talking about her quirk. It was obvious that she hated it and wished it gone, however, they could only think of the powers she displayed with her fight with Nomu.
"So you're the ones that infiltrated the League of Villains and helped us."
It was the Principal and of course, she could see the knowing look in his beady black eyes. It was already obvious that he knew who she was... But probably was confused about her partner.
"Yes, " she replied in a cold tone, emphasizing that she didn't care for the small talk.
"Although I wish to thank you both for helping U.A., I will have to bring you both in first for questioning. The police won't let you two free without it, after all."
"We don't need anything special, " she bit out, "Just keep us out of the news and on the low, and we'll continue to do the same."
She looked to Hitoshi for confirmation, and he nodded in return. When it would come for their time, the two would emerge from the shadows and fulfill their part.
The most that could be done for two was not the immediate removal of their masks and cuffs put on them. Sakura, however, was rather disappointed that Nezu had directed the cops to not give the same treatment as criminals.
They were escorted to a different interrogation room from before and she couldn't look through the glass. No bother as she could sense people beyond it, Nezu to be more exact and a couple other officers she never bothered to learn the names of.
"Are you a threat?"
"No."
"What were your goals?"
"To save the students and defeat the Nomu."
"Is your partner over there really your brother?"
She paused as only she told one person the lie: the villain with a major accent. She mused to herself that the villain had been caught in the unsuccessful attack on U.A. Knowing the person's personality, the villain would more than likely taunt the wardens in jail.
Sakura wanted to mention the irony of being in this situation before but decided against it. It would be idiotic to even suggest it so they could find her identity easier.
"No, he's not. My partner is my own student that I've been teaching."
"What exactly is your quirk."
She let the silence overtake the room to help create some tension and wonder.
"I'm a world-jumper."
