Sakura yawned as she scrolled through her phone, kunai charm dangling from it. Of course, she was checking for glimpses of her hero identity possibly making its way to the public. Even though Nezu appeared to want to keep the two under wraps, she couldn't say the same about the villains. After all, she did 'betray' them in their eyes.
While scrolling through articles, one in particular caught her eye and it was in which the interviewer at NHC was apparently 'on break' or 'on a vacation' and wouldn't be showing up on set for a while. Sakura knew better, especially when it came to the media she had to deal with a lot. The reporter was indeed fired, more than likely for the backlash that was caused from Sakura's special segment.
"What are you looking at?"
Turning, she saw the person that she was expecting. "Hey, Hitoshi. It's nothing really special. I got someone fired."
His eyebrows shot up in disbelief until his eyes flooded with realization. "It was that news... Person?"
"Mmn, " she replied before shoving her cellphone into her pocket, "So what do you want to do today?"
"I was thinking that we could... Go to a cat cafe?"
Sakura's head tilted to the side before she grinned, "Alright, kitten, let's go."
At his deadpanned expression, she had burst out in laughter. Teasing him about his undying love for cats was always amusing, especially when his bored expression suddenly turned into a more deadly one.
They went in, bought for their time, and rested on the fluffy couch. A grey tabby cat found its way on the pinkette's lap and snuggled, curling up into a small ball of fur.
"What will we do during the tournament?"
"Hmn?"
"We can't use our other... Powers or they will notice. Our faces will be matched with the two from the USJ and your career could be at stake."
"My career won't be at stake, " she assured, "It depends on the people's point of views on it. Imagine what would happen if I stated that anyone could have access to this power so it's not technically a quirk. People would try to suck up to me so much for a taste of this power."
"That doesn't make it any better, " he deadpanned, "It will lead to corruption."
"Good thing I'm training to be a hero, huh?"
Sakura smiled mysteriously and got up. "I think we should stop slacking. You ready for some training?"
"Yeah. Your place?"
"You know it."
Sakura then rubbed her temples gently and hissed from a throbbing in her head.

"Naruto, " Tsunade warned, "You're playing with a forbidden jutsu, just let her rest in piece."
"Tsunade-obaa-chan, you know why I'm doing this, " he murmured, "She asked, dattebayo."
Her fist slammed into the desk, breaking it into two. The papers of research collected over the weeks went flying about. Naruto was going to open his mouth to yell, but she had beaten him to it.
"You know that she wouldn't want this!" the fifth Hokage thundered, "There is nothing that you can do now!"
"But I can!"
"My student wouldn't have wanted you to destroy your health over this!"
The Senju's voice quieted and trembled slightly, voicing the effects of her death, "Please, just stop. She was my student and someone I thought would some day surpass me... I know how you feel but she no longer walks this Earth. You can not truly bring back someone already dead."
Walking over, she picked up a couple papers and sucked in her breath, "This is..."
"It's a modified version of the Reanimation jutsu. It takes less chakra and uses a seal so the person can almost live like they did when they were alive, dattebayo."
"Who knows what this can do to Sakura!"
"It'll work fine, " he stated in an almost pleading voice, "I've already tried and it was successful."
Naruto readied his chakra and performed the complex handseals, some of which Tsunade had never seen before in his life. Of course, it was performed on her well-preserved corpse that Naruto had asked to move for a so-called memorial. Of course, the boy had other plans in mind, such as resurrecting her.
Finally, Naruto's chakra went wild, enveloping Sakura's body in a mixture of red and blue, creating a deep purple. It was no doubt that the Kyuubi's chakra would play a huge role in bringing her back.
The papers flew around the room at the air currents that were caused by the chakra. Tsunade's face paled in horror as he eye caught one of them. The cost was not only the chakra but the user's life also. Naruto had lied about testing it once before.
"Naruto!" she bellowed, hoping that her voice would reach him before it was too late.
However, what was done was done. The blond woman's eyes widened in horror at Naruto's body slumping to the ground. She shook him by his shoulders.
To her relief she heard him groan and felt her stiffened muscles relax. "Naruto, it didn't work."
"No, " he replied, "I did everything correctly, dattebayo."
"Well, what's the explanation for it not working?"
"I don't know, " he replied while shaking his head, "Kurama says so... He suggests something entirely different."
"What do you mean?"
"Sakura's body is dead but her soul wasn't put to rest. I asked him why he thinks so but he isn't explaining."
Sakura's dead body laid on the table looking just as untouched as the day before she left on her mission. However, by her cold skin and chest that refrained from rising, it was obvious that she was no longer alive.
"I don't know what to do, dattebayo, I don't know what to do, " he repeated somberly, "I promised her that I would..."
Tears leaked from his eyes and Tsunade hugged the kneeling boy on the ground.
