Two years ago now, a bloody war was fought against the Empire. The Empire had tried to manipulate a mysterious race of people called Earthmates into joining the Empire's quest in order to obtain their power. Earthmates are the chosen people that have a special connection with earth. Many of them had given into the Empire's power, later learning they had been tricked, and many Earthmates killed. Others rebelled against the Empire's demands, including the Earthmate princess, Frey, of the kingdom Selphia. Frey and her lover, Dylas, had led the rebelling Earthmates to battle on the outskirts of the kingdom. Although this was the victorious battle that ended the war,most of the Earthmates were lost, including the princess. Her story had lived on throughout the country, more to the people of Selphia than any other.
