Chapter 48

Karen's pov.

I woke up and realized that last night was just a dream. Or part of it.

After I went to the movies Hayes went home and I went straight to sleep.

It kinda sucked but this is my life. I had to get ready so I showered and got dressed.

Outfit
Army shorts
Black vans
lepre print shirt

Once I was ready I started walking to my bus stop. Alone.

When I got there I saw Hayes waiting but his back was to me.

"Hey Ya." I said once I got closer. He turned around and revealed a bruise on his cheek.

"Oh my god what happened?" I said going up to him.

"Calm down it's fake...I am going to trick this girl..she's cool." he smiled real big and I felt my self-esteem falling.

"She doesn't think I'm bad ass so I'm going to prove it to her you should meet her she's awesome." he smiled big again and my heart felt crushed.

"Oh ok." I said and was all I said until we got on the bus.

"Hey you okay?" Hayes asked once we were on the bus.

"Yeah I'm great...really." I gave him my fake smile.

That was the smile I gave to many people. Many people didn't really know what my real smile was.

Many people have never seen it and one of the very few that have were Hayes.

That's why I liked him so much.   

We had a back story.
