Later into that evening, Celeste reached home.

Pulling into her driveway she sighed, turned off her car and sat listening to the engine die down.

Today was a really good day for her. Usually, her school days were boring. She didn't have friends at that school (mainly by choice), she kept to herself, went to her classes and came home. But today was different for her and most of all she liked it. Celeste felt like change was beginning to happen.

If only she knew how much.

The girl opened her door and got out of her car. Grabbing her bag from where Cameron had placed it in the back, she made her way inside her home.

Celeste came from a family of five. A mother, father, older sister, and younger brother, making her the middle child.

Walking down the hall she saw her father asleep on the couch with the t.v. left on. Typical of him seeing as he works night shifts.

"Hey, dad." Celeste nudged her father. No response.

"Dadddd." She nudged him with a bit more force causing him to stir in his sleep then finally open his eyes. He blinked twice before focusing on who is next to him.

"Hey sweetie, how was work?" He asked her with a yawn attached to the end of the sentence.

"I didn't work today, I had school. I work tomorrow, I told you that remember?" She answered him with a slight chuckle. Her father was very forgetful.

"Oh? I thought you worked today. Hm, well how was school?"

Celeste was going to answer him with her routine answer of 'it was okay, it's just school ya know?' But seeing as today was more than just 'okay' she decided to answer him with an:

"Interesting."

"Interesting? That's new. What made it inte-"

"Ah! I think I hear mom calling me." Celeste cut her father off, knowing that she could not tell him about the boy she met today or think of a good lie. That would end poorly for both him, her, and the boy, and they've only had one conversation.

"What?" He says confused. "I don't I heard he-"

"What time do you work tonight??" Celeste rushed, trying to distract him from carrying on any related conversations.

"10:30"

"Okay well, I'll see you tomorrow morning, love you, goodnight."

And with that Celeste made her way to her mother's bedroom.

She cracked open the door to her bedroom and the t.v light casting over the darkroom. Slowly she walked in and made her way to her mother's side of the bed.

"Momma?" The girl whispered to her sleeping mother. "Momma I'm home"

The girl's mother, a light sleeper, woke up immediately and stretched.

"Hi sweet pea, you're home? How was school?" She asks staring at her daughter's illuminated figure in the dark.

"School was fun." She tells her. "How was work?"

"Work was long." Her mother answered her truthfully. "There is some food in the fridge if you want some."

"I think I'm good, I gotta go start some homework. Thank you though." Celeste began to walk towards the door of her mother's room.

"Alright, goodnight sweetie."

"Goodnight mom."

When Celeste reached her room she threw her bag to the ground and her keys on her dresser. She then grabbed her phone from her back pocket and jumped onto her bed.
