We were decorating my house for the Halloween party and Daniel was ordering us about. "Hope you need to help Zach with the lights," Daniel ordered. I walked over to Zach and held the lights in place whilst he hung them up. Once he was finished, I went back to placing the pumpkins. "Is everything ok?" Emily asked me. "I really don't know. I was talking to Zach about kids the other day and he just ended the conversation straight away by snapping at me," I answered. I looked in Zach's direction and saw him helping Jack and Daniel. Emily sighed and looked in their direction as well. "He probably just wants to focus on his future before kids," She reasurred me. "Yeah," I picked a pumpkin and went to place it in the corner. My phone stared ringing and Emily squealed. "What?" She showed me the caller id and I answered it straight away.
"Nia!" I cried. Me and Emily had missed her so much. "Hey! Just wanted to tell you that I'll be back in school soon," Nia told me. "That's great! Me and Em have missed you so much," I informed her. "I guessed," She chuckled," I've missed you all too but I've just been sick and sorting some stuff out that's all. At least I'll be coming back and I can hear all the compliments about me." "Em wants to talk to you quickly," I passed my phone to Emily and continued decorating. "Hope," Zach's voice stopped me in my tracks and I turned round to him. "Listen, I'm sorr-" He stopped himself and just handed me something to decorate with.
Once we were finished, everyone collapsed on the couch. Jonah and Emily were cuddling and Ashley was enjoying a conversation with the boys. The nightmare before Christmas played in the background and I was one of the only ones watching it. As well as Zach. I got up and went to my room and felt like shit. "Just talk to him. What's the worst that could happen?" I asked myself in the mirror. I went to go take my makeup off but a knock at the door stopped me. I knew it was Zach so I let him in.
