CHAPTER 18

Jeongguk just smiled and kept messaging Taehyung, feeling butterflies in his tummy every time the older would respond. His friends kept giving him suspicious glances but they didn't try to interfere. They could ignore the youngest's smiles and giggles but they couldn't miss the sudden squeal that left Jeongguk's mouth.

"What's wrong?", Seokjin asked, his eyes and all those of the rest stuck on the younger.

Jeongguk bit his lip in excitement, still intently staring at his phone screen. Taehyung had just asked him to hang out. They had found out they had a free period at the same time so the older had suggested to meet up.

Jeongguk didn't answer his hyung's question and quickly typed out a reply, not wanting to let Taehyung hanging like that. He shyly glanced over at the older's table, seeing how Taehyung smiled as well when he got Jeongguk's message.

"Jeongguk?", Namjoon called out, finally catching the younger's attention. Jeongguk looked up with a questioning gaze. "Why did you squeal?", his favorite, cute dimpled, hyung asked.

"No reason", he smiled, waving the question away. He didn't want his team mates to find out that he had a crush on the popular blonde. They would only make fun of him and maybe ruin his possible chance with Taehyung.

After lunch he had only two classes left until seeing Taehyung. His legs were bouncing with nerves and his heart was hammering in his chest. His body almost jolted when the bell rang, indicating he would be seeing Taehyung shortly.

As we walked outside towards the cherry blossom tree that was in the middle of the school terrain, he wondered what he should do after he greeted Taehyung.
