"hey, hey sorry i took so long." ross breathed, tucking his room key in his pocket. "i lost my key"

"ross we have literally been at this hotel for like half an hour, and you already managed to lose your key?" ryan chuckled, following him down the hallway.

"hey, in my defence-" ryan cut him off, with a knowing glare. "fine, i left it in the pocket of my other jeans, and forgot where it was. sue me!"

"i should!" ryan chuckled. "i had to wait for like five minutes!"

ross stepped into the elevator and pressed the button to take them to the ground floor. "you poor thing." he deadpanned, crossing his arms over his chest and leaning against the wall. "five whole minutes. how did you survive?"

"not funny, ross!" ryan mumbled, contorting her face in exaggerated anger.

"you're too cute when you're mad." ross spoke without thinking. he was embarrassed when he realized what he had actually said. "i-i just meant that-"

"ross." ryan laughed, attempting to force the blush off of her cheeks. "it's okay, i know what you meant." she chuckled, scratching the back of her head.

the elevator dinged, cutting through the silence that had taken over the two, ross hurried out into the hotel lobby, and then out into the buzzing streets of new york. "so," he started, looking to ryan with a grin. "where do we start?"

also disclaimer, ryan is from new york and that's where they are right now!! this is like the second show of the tour, so they already have met each other but aren't super close yet, yknow??
