Peter made his way through the streets quickly; he wasnt far from the cafe but it had started to snow. He clung to his backpack and wrapped his coat closer to his body to keep out the cold as he quickened his pace and tried to avoid slipping on any ice.
He was a little early, but he knew she would be too; she was always early. Well, not really. She was often late for school and gym class and her fathers parties and a lot of things really, but she was never late for him. And he wouldnt dare be late for her.
(Y/N) Stark was many things but she was definitely loyal, and if she told Peter shed be there then you could absolutely guaranty she would be. She was one of his best friends, one of the few people who knew his identity and he trusted her completely.
Opening the door, Peter huffed and searched the room for her, he took a moment to smell the fresh coffee that hung in the air and the warmth spreading from the radiators. He spotted the familiar (Y/H/C) hair at the back of the room and made his way over slowly and quietly. As he approached her he reached out with his arms and slowly wrapped his hands over her eyes from behind her. She flinched at first, but once she realised who it was a smirk spread across her face.
"Guess who," he teased, leaning around to see her reaction.
(Y/N) giggled, mock thinking for a moment. "Hm, who do I know with sausage fingers?"
"Hey!" Peter pulled his hands away and sat in the seat opposite her, squinting his eyes in her direction. "My fingers are perfectly normal, thank you."
She rolled her eyes with a smile and pushed a mug of hot chocolate over to him, taking a sip of her own as peter took off his coat and put his bag under the table.
Peter looked from the mug to her, then at the mug again. "What's the cocoa for? You didn't need to get me that, I can pay for myself." He commented, of course he wasn't being rude (she knew that), he just didn't like it when she bought him stuff. Not that he didn't appreciate it, he didn't mind that much, but he doesn't want to feel like he's using her for her father's money."
(Y/N) simpered at his attempt, but she loved to treat him every now and then, as a sort of token of her gratitude for their friendship. "I know Pete, but I wanted to treat you. Besides, it's a Christmas special, cinnamon, mini marshmallows, and sprinkles." She laughed, she could tell by the look on his face that he was persuaded.
They spent maybe half an hour in the cafe while the snow stopped and they finished their drinks, before they started to make their way to the compound. Tonight was movie night; this means they spent hours watching as many movies as they could, stuffing their faces with popcorn and various candies, and huddled under piles of blankets until they went to sleep. And by sleep they actually just went to (Y/N)'s room to talk for a while until they passed out. They lived for those nights, and it was great when the rest of the team joined in, everyone would spread across chairs and sofas and the floor, each with blankets and pillows, and then eat as much as possible before Tony and Bucky (or Thor) ate it all.
When they made it to the compound - snowflakes melting in their hair - it was warm and welcoming, making their skin tingle with the change in temperature.
They immediately went to set things up, it was Peter's turn to pick a movie so (Y/N) made the popcorn and got the blankets ready; preparing themselves for a long night of movies. Within minutes the two of them were snuggled together under three blankets and surrounded by pillows, they were watching Home Alone since Christmas was coming soon. Peter wasn't really paying attention to the movie at first, far too distracted by the fact that his arm was wrapped around (Y/N) as she lay against him. He knew they were only friends, but he wished they could be more. It was rather cliché, really, but he just couldn't help himself; there wasn't a single thing he didn't love about this girl.
