It was hard seeing Jungkook the next few days. It was even harder trying to distance yourself from him. When he noticed how different you had been acting, he started doing cute surprises and gave you little gifts.
No matter what you did, Jungkook always found a way to make you fall deeper in love with him.
Setting your feelings aside, you still tried getting more information. Finding out Jungkook's father killed your parents was the perfect shove to realization. Whenever the guilt stirred inside of you, you just thought about that night and it would all wash away.
But that would only put the guilt to rest, never your love for Jungkook. And that's exactly why you were here in Lieutenant Moon's office, convincing him to change the plan.
"Y/N, the plan was to get information then execute him. He's a threat to everyone in this country and whatever other country he ever plans to flee to."
"No he's not." You defend.
Lieutenant Moon stares at you, a pensive look on his face, "You don't actually think he's a good guy... do you?"
"No!" You answer way too defensively. "I mean, of course not."
"Good. They're felons, Y/N. They have killed, raped, done so many illegal things."
Not Jungkook. Sure he has killed, but that was only because they were threats. They don't hurt the innocent.
"Look," You lean forward, arms resting on his desk. "Jungkook is more useful to us alive than dead. He can give us information, possibly switch sides. People are capable of doing that."
"Not these men. They're under oath with each other. Why do you think they call it crime 'family'? It's not because they're related. Blood makes you related. Loyalty makes you family."
You huff, jaw clenching in anger, "I'm not killing Jungkook and you're not either. I'm the one risking my life while you sit your ass on that chair."
Lieutenant Moon raises his eyebrows in shock. You've never talked to him like that.
"I have as much say as you do towards the actions taken in this situation."
