안녕하새요!
Our lesson for today is proper pronunciation. First, when ㄱ, ㅍ, ㅎ combine with 예, the resulting syllables are pronounced as (게, 페, 헤). Example, 시계 (shige) -clock and 계란 (geran) -egg.
2. When final consonant is followed by a vowel, the sound of the final consonant shifts to the initial position ㅇ (filler) in the next syllable and is pronounced as the initial sound of that syllable. As I have mentioned before, every syllable starts with consonant, if the syllable starts with vowel, we need to put ㅇ in the beginning of the syllable to have it started with the consonant. However, "ㅇ" will be filler or silent sound. Understand?" mahabang lintanya ni Sir Park.Grabe, start palang ng araw pero ganto na agad. Info overload. Mababaliw na ata ako.
"For example, 먹어요, it is divisible into three syllables, 먹 ㅣ 어 ㅣ 요. As you can see, on the second syllable, there is a filler "ㅇ", since there is final consonant before the filler, the sound of the final consonant will go up to the initial position of the filler. Remember that this is only for the pronunciation but the spelling still follows. So the reading goes like this, 머거요. Another example 앉아요. the reading goes like this, 안자요. Is it clear?
Yes. Sagot naming lahat. Ganon lang pala yun.
3. When ㄱ, ㄷ, ㅂ, ㅅ, ㅈ are positioned after the final consonant "ㄱ" they are pronounced as (ㄲ, ㄸ, ㅃ, ㅆ, ㅉ) . Example, 학교. Lets divide it per syllable again, 학 ㅣ 교. in the second syllable 교, ㄱ is the first letter that follows to ㄱ. that is why, when you read it, 꾜. next example 식당,when you read it, 식땅. last is 학생, when you read it, 학쌩.
4. ㄱ, ㅅ are pronounced as (ㄲ,ㅆ) after the final consonant ㅂ. example, 십삼, read as 십쌈, meaning sino #13. Next is 십구 read as 십꾸 , meaning sino #19.
5. When the final consonant "ㅂ", is followed by 육 (6), it is pronounced as "ㅁ" and 육 is pronounced as 뉵. 십육 read as 심뉵 meaning sino #16. 이십육 read as 이심뉵 meaning 26.
6. When the final consonant "ㅂ" is followed by a syllable beginning with ㄴ, ㅁ (ㅂ) is pronounced as (ㅁ). Remember the introduction we did on your 2nd day. I told you about the rules why 입니다 is pronounced as 임니다. This is the rule that we follow. Let me give you another example, 갑니다, lets divide it per syllable, 갑 ㅣ 니 ㅣ 다. as you can see, on the first syllable, the final consonant is ㅂ, since it is followed by ㄴ, ㅂ is pronounced as ㅁ, making it read as kamnida. Is it clear?
Yes. Sagot ng lahat.
7. When the final consonants ㅎ, ㅀ, ㄶ are followed by an initial "ㅇ", ㅎ is silent. Example, 좋아해요, divide it per syllable, 좋 ㅣ 아 ㅣ 해 ㅣ 요 . when ㅇ is used in the beginning of the syllable right after ㅎ, ㅎ will be silent.
Alright we will stop on that part. Please study native Korean numbers. That will be our lesson for tomorrow. Sabi ni Sir.
Grabe sakit ng ulo ko. Kaya nagmadali na ko umuwi para makakain na.
Hatid na kita. Sabi ni Adrian. Kala mo naman may sasakyan. Tsk
Pano mo naman gagawin yun? Sasabayan mo ko sa paglalakad? Sarkastikong sabi ko.
No need. Sasabay siya sakin. Biglang sabat ni Raven. Parang nakita kong napatiim bagang si Adrian pero napalitan agad ito ng isang ngiti.
Ah ok. Mas mabuti yun kasi may motor ka. Magiingat kayo. Sabi niya at tumalikod na. Magkaiba kasi kami ng way. Napailing nalang ako.
Thank you ulit ha. Libre kita minsan ng gasolina. Sabi ko pagdating namin ng bahay. Pero natawa lang siya at napailing.
Pumasok na rin ako ng bahay.
