Chinese is a language spoken in China & Taiwan

Chinese can be classified MAINLY as Cantonese and Mandarin

We're gonna be learning Mandarin

There are other dialects too but these are the main ones

Mandarin is spoken in Mainland China, Taiwan, Singapore & Malaysia

It's also spoken in Macau SAR & HKSAR but not that much

There are two types of written Chinese

Simplified and Traditional

Traditional is used in Macau and HK

Simplified is used in Singapore and Mainland China

Idk about Taiwan and Malaysia
