Eddie hadn't spoken a word of what happened to anyone. He cringed at the way he reacted, calling a guy he was locking lips with "sick" for something he also felt made his stomach twist and turn.
He started walking to school wearing his normal outfit walking past the Tozier household, he turned his head to see Rachel running down the pathway. 'Hey!' He smiled waving as she came up to him. 'So! Guess what!' Eddie shrugged walking next to her kicking the random gravel with his shoes. 'What?' She smiled. 'My boyfriend has a brother...a gay brother!' Eddie groaned hearing the word "brother" come from her mouth as he just shook his head quickly. 'You know I'm not ready for anything like that!' She sighs. 'Eddie!'
She stopped as he turned to view her. 'Your mums wrong! You're not sick! You haven't even had your first kiss come on!' Eddie shook his head quickly. 'I did...' Her eyes widened. 'Oh? With who?' Eddie went red grabbing his face. 'No one! Ok? It was so embarrassing.' She laughed continuing to walk. 'Oh? How so?' Eddie answered. 'I...I called him sick after we kissed and it! I can't believe it!' She choked. 'God Eddie! You need to say sorry! Do they go to our school?' Eddie shook his head placing his hands in the pocket of his baggy jumper. 'Nope...'
She sighed. 'Who are they anyway? God, I thought you wanted to fuck Richie, thank god that's been put to rest.' He just nodded going silent chewing on his inner cheek. 'Mhmm.' Her face lit up at the very little response she got, she knew exactly what this meant, for years he would go silent and just agree if he had done something he didn't want her knowing, like when they were 7 and he wet the bed, he did the same thing at 11 when he was caught eating a piece of food off her plate, he did the exact same thing when they were 14 and she caught him cheeking out there geography teacher. 'You made out with my brother!' Eddie shook his head quickly. 'No! I didn't! I swear to god I didn't!' She fake scoffed looking away giggling. 'Aight! Keep your secrets!'
Eddie laughed as she whispered. 'Was he good though?' Eddie bit his bottom lip looking down embarrassed, he nodded avoiding any contact with the girl as she screamed jumping around like a 5-year-old on Christmas morning. They arrived at Eddies least favourite place heading to the first class, he noticed that the red house he saw hanging out with Richie that night and remembered her name being something like "bek", "Bell" or something like that.
Eddie sat down noticing that he had a group project and he was paired with Rachel, the girl and some other guy named "Stan", it rung a bell in the boys head as he heard the name before but brushed it off. Eddie sat down at the table with the rest of them as the girl sighed. 'Did I have to be paired with the homophobe?' Rachel giggled. 'He's not homophobicccc!' She elbowed Eddie a little as he hid his head in his hands. 'Shut up!'
The girl scoffed. 'Yeah sure, Richie told us what happened. That's so fucking.-' Stan cut her off. 'He's not worth it.' The girl sighed. 'I'm Beverly. Just, let's get this stupid thing over with.' Eddie nodded ashamed, he really felt bad for it and he knew deep down he really didn't mean it...but he hated that little piece of info about himself and prayed that it would just magically go away one day, but even he knew it wouldn't.
They did as most as they could but they had to all meet up after school they decided on Rachels house since they all were very familiar with it. The day went by with Beverly glaring at Eddie and hopping his head would just explode.
Rachel and Eddie walked to the Tozier's house making there normal chit chat and jokes, they arrived as Rachel yelled. 'I'm home!' Eddie whispered to her dropping his bag by the door. 'I'm just going to quickly say sorry...I feel really bad.' She nodded. 'Don't take too long.' Eddie agreed running upstairs quickly, he knocked on the door hearing shuffling from behind it, he opened it groaning seeing the smaller boy. 'Yes?' Eddie swallowed his pride. 'I'm...' Richie rolled his eyes pissed. 'If you're just going to call me sick I really don't want to hear it.' He slammed his bedroom door in the boys face.
'Sorry...'
