Ch. 10 Duel and getting closer

(Y/N)'s P.O.V

We got home around 5 pm. Mokuba had awaken from his nap and he was energetic than ever. Seto couldn't help but chuckle at his cheerful attitude. God, how I wish he laughed often. I thought about the kiss... I was so close to kissing him, now I have to kiss him tomorrow or the day after tomorrow!

I thought about the mission if I failed; Sharla will take me as her prisoner, she will have my powers! Then, my mind wandered about my mom; oh, how she is worried sick!

My train of thought was interrupted by Seto who was nudging me slightly. "Are you okay?" He asked, his eyes flickered with concern. I just sadly smiled and shook my head. We sat down and we were watching "The Little Mermaid". Ironic, isn't it?

We were watching the part where the former mermaid got her voice back, and the prince found out that she was the one that saved him. They were about to kiss, when all of a sudden... the TV turned off.

Seto cursed to himself, and mumbled something about electricity. "What are we gonna do now, big bro?" Mokuba asked his brother. Seto just shrugged. Then, he spoke out.

"How about you and (y/n) duel? You can test her duelling skills." He said, smirking. His brother returned the smirk and gave me a weird disk thing and we went to the pool outside of the mansion.

"What is this?" I asked curious about this thing.

"It's a Duel Disk. I made it myself, so that monsters come to life with holograms, along with magic cards and trap cards." He explained. I nodded and he showed me how to put it on my wrist. Once we had put them on, our Life Points rose up to 4000. I'm using my deck that Mokuba made for me.

"Let's duel!" We yelled in unison.

"Ladies first." Seto said. I just smirked at him being a gentleman as I looked at my hand. I had Star Mermaid, Music Mermaid, Doble Passé, Monster Reborn, and Mystical Space Typhoon I drew from my deck.

"First, I summon my Star Mermaid in attack mode!" I declared, slamming the card on the disk. And before my eyes, a pale-skined mermaid with white hair appeared with grey eyes and a shiny white tail with stars on it. Her attack points were 1300.

"Next, I'll place one card facedown and that will be it" I said, setting my facedown card.

Soon, it was Seto's turn. He summoned Vorse Raider in attack mode and set two facedowns. He ordered his Raider to attack my mermaid, but I smirked.

"Reveal Doble Passé!" I exclaimed, my card lifting. This card redirected his Raider's attack from Star Mermaid to me. My life points have reduced to 2100.

"Now, my mermaid can attack you directly!" I exclaimed, as my mermaid started her attack. She attacked him with Stardust Blast. He now had 2700 life points.

"Not a bad move" Seto smirked before ending his turn. I drew a card and smirked. I activated Mystical Space Typhoon and destroyed one of his facedowns; which was Shrink, he used it often in his duels with Mokuba.

"Now I activate my mermaid's special ability. Once per turn, I can destroy one of your facedowns, whether it's a magic or trap card!" I exclaimed as the facedown card revealed itself. It was his Crush Card Virus!

He sent both cards to the graveyard. I have set one facedown before ending my turn. Seto then summoned Slate Warrior in attack mode. I just raised my eyebrow. Why did he summon a monster that had high attack points and low defense points?

He set one card face down and ordered his warrior to attack my mermaid. He obeyed and destroyed her. Now I had 1500 life points, while his remained at 2700.
