*Bobbles POV*

Last week Headphones told me that we were going on a camping trip with the S4. Right now I am standing in my room packing my bag full of everything I would need for the next 3 days. In my bag there held my clothes, swimsuit, my phone, and plenty of snacks.

"Bobble!! Are you packed yet?"
Headphones called
"Yeah I'm all packed up!"
I called back.
I grabbed my bag and put it on but as I was about to walk out the door I grabbed my pillow and salon egg plushie and carried it down stairs to the van we rented for the trip.

Headphones helped me put my bag and pillow into the car as a held my salon egg plush. So far only my team was at the van putting there stuff in, we were going to go pick up the S4 at Aloha's house. I climbed in the back of the van. Headphones was going to drive and Specs sat in the front of the car with her. As Goggles was sitting the the middle row while I sat in the very back.

After all our stuff was in the car we drove over to Aloha's house and picked up the S4, Mask and Army sat in the middle row with Goggles as Skull and Aloha joined me in the back row. Once all of their stuff was packed into the car we were on our way to camp triggerfish.

While on the drive I got to listen to my own music as I felt the sun crawl into the car and shine on me. It was comforting to hold onto my stuffed salon egg plush all along the way.

After about 2 hours or so we got to the campsite. It sat next to a fresh water lake, it was treated specially so inklings could touch the water and they wouldn't get hurt. After everyone got out the the car they all started to put up the two tents. I sat off the the side because I knew I wouldn't be able to help much.

I walked down to the lake and listened to the water hitting the sand. From a far I could hear some bickering at the campsite so I decided to head back.

"Why did you bring your own tent when we were all going to share?"
Army questioned.
"I didn't waaant to be squished intooo that small tent with yooouu schmucks."
Mask said back.

I could here the rest of the S4 complain about it for a moment but then they stopped when they remembered it left themselves more room in the tent.

I was sitting at the picnic table when it was announced that they were finished putting up the tents, so I went back over to the truck to grab my stuff and Headphones helped me put it all in the tent.
When the campsite was fully put together we decided to go down and hangout at the lake.

We splashes around having fun. At one point Goggles tripped and fell face first into a sand castle Aloha was building. All throughout this I felt like someone or something was watching me the whole time.

Around dinner time Skull helped Specs light the fire and then for dinner Army made his best curry recipe and it was absolutely delicious!

We spent the rest of the evening sitting around the fire making s'mores and telling ghost stories. Skull of course ate most of the marshmallows as Goggles tried to cook up his pickled plums.

As the night came to a close people started retiring for the night, first it was Goggles then Skull then Aloha then Specs and Army then Headphones left to go to bed.

I thought I was the only one left awake so I walked down to the lake to hangout until I felt tired. After awhile I heard the sand shifting behind me and I turned around to find out who was there.
"Hello..?"

I heard the sound abruptly stop then I heard a sick sounding voice respond,
"Heey.."
"Mask? What are you doing still awake? I thought everyone had went to sleep."
I questioned him
"I don't usssuually go to sleep until later. And I wanted to knoow why you were coming down to the lake by youurrrself."
I heard him sit down a few feet away from me as he was speaking.
"Well.. why would you care? A-after you were so rude to me a week ago.."
All I could feel was nervousness come over me after I said that.
"... I wanted to saaay sorry for acting that way.. It wass uncalled for.."
"Y-yeah.. it was..."
I turn my head away from him.
"So.. I'm s-sorrry for being so rudde.. and inconsiderate."
We at in silence for a minute until I finally said,
"I accept your apology, as long as you hangout with me for a little while longer."
I said cheerfully,
"Heh, okay then."
After he said that I laid down in the sand and propped my head up with my arms. Soon enough Mask laid down on the sand with me.

"So.. how did you become blind? If you don't mind me asking."
Mask asked after a few minutes of silence.
"Huh? Oh, I lost my sight in a car crash when I was very young. I had spent the previous day with some friends and family because we were about to move to inkopolis. But the next day, on our way into the city another car had crashed into ours and.. I-I lost almost everything on that day..."
Remembering that day always brought me to tears.
Mask looked over at me,
"Man.. that's so rough.."
"When I woke up in the hospital a week later all I wanted to do was see my parents faces or for them to be able to hold me and comfort me and to tell me I was going to be okay but they couldn't... In one day I lost my old home.. my vision... and... my parents.."
I sniffled as I finished.
I could tell that Mask was speechless.

But after a few moment I sat up and started crying thinking about that day more and more. Eventually Mask sat up too and put his hand on my shoulder, he was trying to calm me down. Slowly I stopped crying and we sat in silence once again.

I was starting to get tired and told him that was going to head to bed. He told me he was tired too so he walked me over to my tent then headed over to his.

Once inside our tent is was extremely obvious that there wasn't enough room for me, so I grabbed my plushie and my pillow and decided to sleep in one of the camping chairs.

*Masks POV*

I laid awake in his tent thinking about Bobble's past and how she was crying in front of me.

After thinking for way to long I wanted to go take a walk before I came back to go to bed but I didn't exactly get that far. The moment I stepped out of my tent I noticed Bobble was sleep on one of the crappy camping chairs.

I walked over to her and gently woke her up,
"Huh..?"
She woke up confused and started rubbing her eyes.
"Do you really want to sleep out here?"
I asked her,
"No.. but there is no room in the tent...!"
She said half awake.
"C-come on, I have room in my tent."
He says nervously.

Bobble nodded and got up out of the chair holding her pillow and plushie, she followed me to my tent and basically plopped down onto the bed and immediately fell asleep.

I quietly laughed it off and pushed her to one side of the bed and I sat down on the other side. I even took some pillows and put them between both of us and then I finally went to bed.

~~time skip to the next morning~~

I was woken up to a lot of light coming into the tent and the sound of snickering above me. I looked up to see Aloha in peaking in my tent with his phone held up to his face, as soon as he noticed that I was looking up at him he quickly left. But then I noticed that Bobble wasn't asleep on the other side of the tent, she was asleep in my arms. I softly pulled her away from me and pushed her to the other side of the bed while I was a blushing mess.

I pretended to still be asleep when she woke up a few minutes later. She quietly said, "thanks for letting me sleep here.."
And then she left the tent and left me as a blushing mess.
