Sparks flickered out of the lighter with each swipe of Theo's thumb before she eventually managed to get a sturdy flame. She brought the end of the joint that sat between her lips towards the flame. The fire burning away at it creating a quiet sizzling sound as it brought the joint to life. Theo sucked in a deep long drag as she placed the lighter back in the pocket of her hoodie before she moved the spliff away from her lips, smoke slowly flooding past her lips.

She pulled her phone from her pocket to aimlessly check it, her eyes noticing the time flash across it; 3:23am. She sighed to herself and settled into her seat further, the time seeming to taunt her. Despite the fact that her limbs ached and her body felt weak, her mind felt like it was running a million miles an hour.

Even with the time being so late (or early) the air still felt mild and humid, the heatwave this summer wasn't letting up. Theo brought the joint back to her lips for another drag, her cheeks hollowing out and she sucked the smoke into her lungs. She could feel the drug instantly take over, enveloping her like a deep relaxing hug.

She crossed her legs underneath her and sunk herself deeper into her seat, getting herself comfortable on the small cushioned wicker couch. The smoke clouded around her even with the light summer breeze. She already began to feel at ease, her muscles and bones unwinding as she lifted her eyes to the sky, taking in the glistening stars. She could hear the wind running through the trees, their full leaves rustling against it while the occasional sounds of wildlife hollered out from the woods. The forest and backing scenery were black silhouettes with the lack of light, only the glow of the moon helped her to make anything out.

After the stressful day she had, she had so been looking forward to a moment like this to herself, where she could just get high in peace. For the first time today she actually felt calm and relaxed. Maybe she had become a little too dependant on weed, it was very rare that she could even go a few days without it. But it always helped her to balance her emotions out and got her out of her own head, made her stop caring about all the things that stressed her out and most importantly, help her to sleep. She smiled up at the stars feeling warm and hazy taking another drag of the joint so she could have more of the sensation it gave her.

But she was brought back down to reality as she heard small movement coming across the road from her, her head snapping up towards it. When she looked over at the cabin opposite she spotted the front door opening, watching as she saw a figure step out. She sat up in her seat suddenly feeling paranoid, realising it was Jason's cabin. She watched the figure walk down the porch steps and head across the dirt road. She squinted her eyes to try and penetrate the darkness to find out who it was approaching her. She probably would have been able to tell earlier if she hadn't of had her smoke, her head was definitely not sober.

"Hello?" She called out curiously.

"Hey, sorry if I scared you... again." A raspy familiar accent hit her ears. She then gazed over as she saw Dexter reach the bottom of the porch she was settled on, his face finally coming into view under the orange glow of the light. His sudden presence made her feel immediately nervous, the icy blue of his eyes transcending even in the dark making her chest tighten, which she tried to just put this down to the high.
