Theodora could already hear the music from Hayley's cabin through her open window. The synthetic sound only magnified by the quiet of the countryside.
Theo looked at her appearance in the bathroom mirror, her mouth falling open involuntarily as she finished off her mascara. Her make up consisting of dark eyes, subtle blush and finished off with nude lipstick. She was already dressed, her outfit being a simple black floaty button down dress with short sleeves, her legs bare and her feet sitting in a pair of black sandals. Her now clean and dried hair was left down in chocolate waves where it framed her elegant face. She was just putting her bits of make up away when the door to Morgan's room opened to reveal her. Her tanned curvy body clothed in a floral off the shoulder top that was tucked into a button down black denim skirt, her dark hair tied up in to a bun while her full fringe was shaped perfectly around her eyes.
'You look so nice.' Morgan greeted Theo, a warm smile on her face.
'Thanks, so do you.' Theo returned her compliment and smile.
'I changed my outfit like a million times. It's so fucking hot, I'm melting.' Moran fanned her face with her hand.
'I know.' Theo agreed with a small huff, running her fingers through her hair one last time, desperately trying not to obsess over how she looked. But her nerves consumed her body as her stomach twisted in knots. She hadn't spoken to Dexter since they went for their afternoon swim, so she didn't really know what to expect tonight. Her body fizzling with anticipation of it all, and all she wanted to do was drink away the anxiety it was causing. Especially with the added pressure of Morgan trying to hook her up with one of Jordan's friends.
'You wanna head down?' Morgan asked tilting her head to check Theo was ready.
'Let me just grab my bag.' Theo spoke before heading back into her room to grab her clutch, checking her phone, cigarettes and other little bits she needed were inside.
Theo and Morgan headed downstairs once they had everything they needed only to find Katie pacing the kitchen, her phone attached to her ear. She wore a yellow pleated skirt that reached her knees, with a white silk crop top, her usual striking blonde hair flicking out around her shoulders.
'Well I'm sure you'll be great...' She spoke warmly to whoever she was on the phone to, a smile on her lips 'I know, I miss you too.' She then turned her attention to Theo and Morgan once she noticed them enter. 'Matt, I've gotta go, the girls are here— I'll speak to later?' Katie then began wrapping up her phone call, her eyes on the girls as she gave them a toothy grin with her eyebrows raised.
'Bye Matt.' Morgan sang, directing her voice towards Katie's phone as she walked passed her towards the fridge. Katie rolled her eyes and smiled before ending the call and placing her phone on the island of the kitchen.
'You alright?' Theo asked giving Katie a tight lipped smile, her hand affectionately reaching out to hold on to Katie's arm. Theo could sense that Katie's usual perky tone wasn't the same, a hint of sadness lying within it.
