Alice's POV
(Both the twins are now 16)

"NO!" I heard, and woke up with a start, shooting out of bed, hearing my dad yell out from his room. I sighed, knowing he was having another one of his nightmares of Mom.

I quickly ran to the kitchen, grabbing his anxiety medication and some hot tea that I quickly prepared. I climbed the stairs up to his room, and walked into his bedroom to see him all sweaty and panting, some tears coming down his face. It broke my heart to see my Dad like this.

"Dad, here." I said, handing him the pills, and he swallowed them quickly.

"I'm sorry I woke you." he said softly, still trying to catch his breath and taking a sip of the tea. I laid down beside him in bed and hugged him.

"Don't be sorry." I said gently, and noticed he wouldn't look my in the eye.

"Dad." I half-whined, pulling his chin up so he would make eye contact with me. He pulled his head away and refused to.

"Why won't you look at me?" I asked, slightly hurt. He sighed.

"It's...Its not you..Its just....you look so much like her." he said quietly. I understood, I guess I resembled my mother a lot. I wouldn't know though, considering Dad had never shown me or Isaac a picture of her, or told us about her. I sighed.

"What was she like?" I asked softly, and he ran his fingers through his hair.

"I guess it's time I tell you guys isn't it?" He said. I perked up, I didn't really expect him to talk about it. This time he sighed.

"I'll tell both of you in the morning." he said, and laid back down in his bed. I could see he was still slightly shaking from his nightmare, so I laid down beside him and took him in a hug.

"Goodnight Dad. I love you."

"I love you too Alice."

~morning~

I woke up, getting quietly out of bed to take the tea cup from yesterday downstairs, only to find Isaac sitting at the kitchen table.

"Hey bro." I said casually, and he looked up from his phone.

"Oh hey. Is dad ok? I kinda heard him last night." he said, and I nodded.

"Yeah I gave him his medication and calmed him down. But we started talking and guess what?" I said, suddenly excited.

"What?" Isaac asked curiously.

"He said he'd tell us about Mom today." I finished, and Isaac was now miming my excitement.

"Really?! This is awesome! Maybe Mom has something to do with that room we were never allowed in." he said, now looking over at the room we never saw inside of.

"Maybe." I said, and started to cook breakfast for the three of us. We heard dad start to climb down the stairs, and he came in, immediately starting to make coffee for himself.

"So..uh, Dad. Alice told me you were going to tell us about Mom today?" Isaac broke the silence. I saw Dad tense up, but only for a moment before relaxing.

"Yeah. Um, bloody hell....I don't know where to start." he said, sitting down at the kitchen table with his cup of coffee.

"What do you want to know?" He asked. I thought for a moment.

"What was she like? What were her hobbies? How did you two meet?" I asked, and he nodded.

"Well....she was....amazing. She was funny, beautiful, very caring about everyone. She was an older version of you, I guess." he paused, "The only difference...is well, she has problems with depression, anxiety and self-harm." I felt my breath hitch in my throat. My Mom was depressed?

"When I met her, which was at RTX in 2014, she was probably at her worst. But I helped her through it and eventually her depression disappeared all together. She stopped her self-harm, and no longer got panic attacks or had anxiety." I could see tears starting to well up in his eyes. "And we had you two. Sure we were exhausted because you guys kept us up all night with your crying," we all let out a small laugh at this, "but being able to be parents with her was worth it." he finished. He thought for a moment, as if daring to say the next part.

"A-And then one day....we took a family photo because she wanted to. She was working on one of her most recent cosplays, which was her favourite thing to do, besides take care of you two. And she......A-And she," the tears started to flow down his face, and I walked up to him and comforted him, "she was going to the store because she needed some extra fabric for one of her cosplays. And, well.....she never came back. A car crash. Just like that, she was gone." he finished, and we were left in a pained silence. I saw a couple tears come from Isaac's eyes, and I could feel some well up in mine.

"T-That room I never allowed you two in...its the room where she kept all her cosplays and created them in.....I've never gone in there since the day she.....passed." he choked out.

"Would you like to see?" He asked almost daringly. I shook my head, I didn't want to push him if he didn't want too.

"No, Dad. If you don't want too we don't have-"

"It's okay. Go." he whispered, and Isaac started to walk towards the room. I followed him, he turned the knob slowly and walked in.

It was a simple room. Three bean bags, with a couch against one wall. There was a wall that had many different colours of thread, and a box of needles. A desk with a computer sat on top, and a closet full of cosplays that were characters from old games. But what caught my eye was a jacket, the needle still sticking out of the fabric as if she left and was going to finish it later.

Against one wall was many printed out pictures. I'm guessing the girl in it was her, and I could tell the resemblance between us. She was beautiful, her and Dad looked like the perfect couple. All the pictures of them looking so happy together made my heart break. Then I saw a picture, a family picture of us. It must be the picture taken on the day she.......died. We were still babies.

I saw out do the corner of my eye Dad walk inside the room, looking around sadly as if remembering all the memories this room holds. That's when he broke down sobbing.

Isaac and I quickly rushed to him, taking him in a family hug.

"It's okay Dad. We'll be okay, we have each other. And that's all that matters."
