Lexi's POV

I hadn't had a good sleep in what felt like ages and I also kept Harry up, waking up screaming and writhing as if under an invisible Cruciatus Curse.

It seemed like I permanently tired and I always seemed to run my hand over my forearm where bumpy scar tissue had mended itself together. The word 'mudblood' was still visible on my arm, so I had a tendency to wear long-sleeve shirts more often.

Hermione seemed just as traumatized as I was; we both barely spoke a word and didn't get much sleep. We also tend to not eat very much, but are forced to eat something by our caring boyfriends.

Hermione came up with the idea that the vault may be hoarding a Horcrux. Even after being tortured, she's still able to come up with genius plans and ideas. Without her, we'd be lost.

The two of us had both been suffering from PTSD, but Fleur, having a little Healer training, helped us. Along with Fleur's help, we were also comforted and soothed by our boyfriends.

My hair would take some getting used to. After having long hair for as long as I could remember, I was scared to look in a mirror and see my now shoulder-length hair. Harry always says he loves my hair shorter anyway, which nearly makes me smile.

When I did manage to look in the mirror, I noticed the jagged tips of my hair, courtesy of a psychotic bitch cutting your hair and not a hairdresser. My eyes were bloodshot from crying a lot and had dark purple bags beneath them from lack of sleep due to constant nightmares, a supposed side-effect of the Cruciatus. My naturally-tanned skin was a few shades lighter than usual and my face looked thinner.

When Harry dragged me behind him through the house, he wouldn't tell me where he was going, other than that is was important. We came to the room that I recalled Griphook was staying in. Before we even knocked, a, "Come in," was heard from the other side.

The goblin was sitting in the lounge chair in the corner, facing us with a stern expression.

"We have a proposition for you," Harry said. The goblin looked like he either was ignoring Harry, or wasn't interested.

"We saved you and all we get is your nonchalant expression and no 'thank you' or anything," I butt in quietly.

The goblin broke his silence, "What makes you think you saved me? If I leave, I'll be killed because people assumed I sided with you," He pointed at Harry menacingly, "The 'Undesirable No. 1,"

"Fine. Forget we saved you. Are you interested in our proposition or not?" Harry asked, giving me a look as to warn me not to butt in.

"...What's the proposition?" The goblin asked.

"You help us get access the Bellatrix Lestrange's vault in exchange for the Sword of Gryffindor,"

"What?!" I butted in as Harry held a hand up to silence me.

"Fine," The goblin answered, expression unchanging.
