Ray's Pov.

As I finish reading the letter my attention goes straight to the small red box decorated with a pretty gold ribbon and bow on top . I gently undo the bow, take the ribbon off, and open the box. I unexpectedly find two beautiful rings neatly displayed inside. One of the rings was a thick black metal band with a strip of silver going through the black. It was simple and elegant which was designed for a man. The other ring was for a woman with the way the design of the silver and black metals wove themselves together to meet at three diamonds in a sequence of small, large, and back to small in the middle. The classy style along with the small engravings of the moon on the inside of the two bands make me believe that these are mate rings.

   Mate rings were extremely rare and scarce, only a few higher ranking alphas have them. If I was a cartoon me eyes would be popping out of my scull. When I look up from hearing my dad enter the room, taking a seat in front of me and starts to speak.

     "I know you have a lot of questions so let me answer a few for you before you ask. 1 your mom barely talked about here family. I begged her to tell you about her family in more detail but that was all she would wright. 2 the mate rings are from your mother mother's family. I don't now how they got them. Finally 3 I now you probably fill hurt because it seems like I kept secrets about your mother from you. She didn't even tell me everything about herself from before we met." He explained taking a breath he was holding as he looks at me.

        "ok. I understand. I'm not mad but I want to discuss this a bit later when I have more time..." I answered. Who could have thought my mom was so mysterious. Then again I don't tell my dad everything ,like what goes on at school, what happens when he has to leave the pack sometimes,or during my free time. Although I think he has a classmate keeping an eye on me at school or one of my teachers. This would not surprise me because in my freshmen year my left wrist was was broken along with several other injures that couldn't be unnoticed. This could not be over looked, as a result my dad was notified. He was furious, he new I was getting bullied but not such an extent for something like that to happen. Resulting in him wanting the culprit or culprits punished. I didn't tell my dad who the shithead was, or any of his little minions that follow him around. This caused my dad to notice of all the classes that I was failing in. Guess what, surprise I was failing all of my classes dun dun dunnnnnn. We decided it wasn't the appropriate to make a commotion, so instead we talked with all my teachers. Coming to an agreement that the next day from 5pm-9pm, my teachers would come teach me all my main classes along with all extra supernatural classes provided at the school, from then on. He doubled my physical training, along with beginning to teach me in the medical field of both human and all supernatural beings. Having these amazing teachers to myself is fantastic, since I'm ahead in all my classes, along having the best scores in the class. As a result of already knowing what they're teaching in class, I can relax.

" Alright, can discuss this later, I have something else I need to talk to you about. Now you know how I have been working at the Crescent moon pack?"he inquired

"Yeah why?" I answer

"Well, you remember when I told you I left my pack and alpha position to my younger brother to become a doctor. Then, I met your mom out on a job, patching up some wolfs in an ER. As a result a couple of years later I got you." He mutters nervously

"Yeah, so what are you trying to get at?" I question.

" Alpha Gizmen is your uncle along with being the alpha of Crescent moon pack, I have been working for during the past few years. Sadly, his beta past away a couple of months ago and as a result he wants me to be his new bete. But to do so I or we have us move there."

"Wow, I can finally meet my uncle. Of course I will move, when do we leave. Does this mean I can attend The Stronghold. Does Beth already now this " I chime in excitement. It's weird that we have different last names though. He then grabs a folded piece of paper and hands it to me while giving me a big smile and continues.

"Today, I will pick you up after lunch and we will go see and say goodbye to Sarah. I have also already finished your paperwork for the Stronghold it just needs to be handled in. And yes she already now's and is getting our new home ready. I already talked to Alpha and he already has approved us to leave. This is the last thing I have for you, happy birthday." He said.

I unfold the paper, shockingly it is the deed to our land signed over to me. This is half of the packs land, I thought as I gok at my dad astonished.

      "Alpha is a very honorable man. When your mother and I joined the pack we offered our land as a sign of good will. In return he said as long we are part of the pack so is our land, but if we ever left it would be given back, along with being removed from the territory. I'm giving it to you since we are leaving. I also noticed you were looking for land, when you left the webpage Land for Sale on the computer the other day. I don't now why you want land but don't make me regret this k." He smirks showing a big smile, with mischief in his eyes that say, I know your up to something. I run around to hug him ignoring his suspicious  stare.

"Eeeee.......THANK YOU YOU WONT REGRET THIS can you please send a thanks to Alpha for me. What well the pack members that live on our land do " I cheer, questioning slightly about the pack members that live on my new land, as I jump around returning to my seat is the process.

This land is just what I needed for my MOONRUNNERS. I'll text Zack about the land a little later so he could let everyone know.

" I have mind linked alpha and he says you are welcome. He also wishes that you were treated and protected better. He is still sorry about what happened two years ago too. He is already making preparations to move the pack members and asks if they could stay on your land tell the construction is done." My dad informs me in a neutral voice. He and Alpha Lex have not been able to come to terms since an incident that happened a month after my wrist was broken.

   " Awesome, and by the way the clock looks if I don't leave I'm going to be late to school." I giggle as gesture to the clock hanging over the door frame that lead to the living room.
 
     " Alright, I'll see you after lunch. I have already linked your teachers that we're moving. Oh, also be cautious Jason isn't going to be happy with you getting half of the pack land." He advises.

          "I will, and if anything I'll put my training to some use. Hold on to my gifts tell we get to our new place, pleeeeeeeeeeeease. I don't want to lose then" I giggle and pout sarcastically.

      "No problem, know hurry no more delaying, you need to leave for school, or you're going to be late." He stats pointing his finger at me with a smile. I side step from the table, putting my arms in the air to show my serenader.

    "Alright you got me, I'll go, but can I take Shade to school???" I plea as I inch my way to the garage door directly behind me. I'm close enough to the door that I can sling me duffle bag (that sat on a chair by the door) over my shoulder. I place my one hand on the door handle, waiting for him to respond, on if I can take my keys off the hanger.  All I got was a hand shewing me to leave, with that I took my keys, open the garage door leaving the kitchen, go to my silver 1995 Volkswagen beetle and leave for school.

     "Today will be an interesting day, I can already tell with the morning I have had so far." I giggle to my self as I pull out of my drive way.
