Remus heaved his trunk up to the train and went along the aisle to find an empty compartment.
He did'nt know anyone in any of the compartments so he went up to the very last one which was thankfully empty and plopped down on one of the seats after putting his trunk away.
He sighed and took out a book "Hogwarts-A History", and began reading.
He felt really tired and the compartment he was sitting in was so quiet that he couldn't help but feel a bit drowsy.....

"Bye mum and dad! See you at Christmas!"
James Potter turned around to see the gleaming scarlet Hogwarts Express standing before him. He smiled as widely as ever and walked forward without even looking where he was going and bumped into someone
*Sirius's POV*
Finally! Free! Free of Grimmauld Place, that horrible Kreacher, that good for nothing Regulus....free from duties of the Black family.....
This is going to be fun! I bet I'll prank alot...even if its my first year. No prefect's going to ruin it for me! I'm Siriu- "Hey!"
This guy bumps into me and I look at him. "Uh...sorry...oh, by the way, I'm James. James Potter." The new boy said, smiling. He has a good look about him, and he seems friendly. I decided give it a shot.
"Hi, thats okay. I'm Sirius.....Black" Great! You find one guy who seems nice and you ruin it for yourself! Me and my big mouth! Saying Black. I'm not even like them!
*James's POV*
Black! But he's so.....well...good-looking for one! And he seems nice too! Oh well, everyone can't be like their families, can they?
Lets just put this awkwardness away. "Hey Sirius! Excited for Hogwarts? I know I am!"
*Sirius's POV*
" 'Course I am! I mean, who would'nt be?! There'll be pranking and having fun with my friends, exploring and stuff....and I heard that there's a forest there! Going there would be fun!" I said excitedly, and seeing the same in James's eyes, I called to him "come on then!" and we both raced up to the train.
*Normal POV*
"Hah! I win!" James shouted, dancing on the train. "Hey! It was a tie!" Sirius called to him.
"Okay fine....anyways we've got a carriage to search for! And I guess they'll be full soon so we'd better be quick." James said and both of them trudged onwards to find an empty carriage, both oblivious to the fact that they had forgotten their trunks outside.
Sirius stopped dead and began laughing his head out while James stood like a dummy, staring at him. Sirius then said "we forgot our stuff outside! Imagine our faces if we'd arrived at school without them.

"Huh.....that was breathtaking!" James cried as they opened a compartment door and went inside. They had again raced but with their trunks dragging behind them.
"And by the way, I won this time!" Came Sirius's voice from in front of them. "Yeah yeah, you won-hey! There's someone already here!" James cried to a sleeping boy with a book on his lap.
"Err...should we wake him up then?" Sirius asked, looking around.
*******
Soon, all three of them were laughing and talking, Remus, being a little weary from last night but all was fine and he finally had some friends to talk to.
Though I shouldn't get too close to them....they might find out.... Was what he thought some of the time.
"Cool scars you've got! What happened?" Sirius suddenly asked.
"Er-I well, fell down the stairs...." Remus replied, smiling at his own stupid excuses.

"Come on Sev! We gotta go!" Lily shouted as both of them dragged their trunks towards a compartment.
Upon entering, they found themselves looking at three boys who seemed to be enjoying themselves. "Um sorry, we did'nt mean to disturb you-" "oh no problem! You can sit down...er...you too.." The boy with glasses spoke, first to Lily, then to Severus.
"Anyway," he continued "what house were you thinking of? I know I'm Gryffindor, like my dad." He swelled up his chest, definitely proud. The boy with longer hair than a normal boy should have spoke "Well, I'd love to be a Gryffindor too-and I will be! I'll be the first to break the stupid family tradition of being a Slytherin."
"Woah! I thought you were okay!" James said, apparently surprised that such a friendly boy would be a Black. "Nah, I'd be first to be Gryffindor, you'll see."
The third boy seemed a bit shy to Lily. He hadn't said a word. The other two were definitely outgoing. Then the third boy spoke with an amused face "Forgive them for their manners but I'm Remus Lupin, the one with glasses, he's James Potter and he's Sirius Black. And yes, I'd like Gryffindor too, though Ravenclaw would be good too."
Suddenly out of nowhere, Severus spoke up, I mean, Severus Snape, who never speaks in front of strangers.
"Slytherin is always the best house. I'd definitely be sorted there, so would Lily." James and Sirius choked down a laugh. "Slytherin? I'd rather be in Hufflepuff!" James spoke up. "Yeah, I've heard all the bad lot get sorted into that, even You-Know-Who." Sirius added. "And I'd leave, if I Were sorted into that house." James said.
"Come on Sev, lets find another compartment" Lily got up from her seat, flustered and red from anger.
Just immediately, as if on cue, the compartment door opened and a girl with pink hair entered. "Hmm...looks like I've got to sit here, everywhere else is full."
Remus was the first to speak "yes of course you can, though we'll have to move over a bit. And Lily, you can sit here without talking to them, they wont bother you, wont you?" He turned to James and Sirius. "Oh no, no, of course not. I'd love to have Lily here." James said, smiling and making Lily even more furious.
"My name is Tonks, Nymphadora Tonks, but dont call me that!" Tonks said cheerfully.
Good, someone to make the train ride a bit lively. Remus thought.
"Blimey! You're my cousin Dromeda's daughter, arent you?" Sirius asked her. "I did'nt know it was you! Pink hair and all."
"Yep! Thats me! And I'm a metamorphmagus too!" She replied and turned her face into that of Sirius's which made everyone gasp.
Something tells me that this is going to be a pretty weird train ride....Remus thought to himself. He couldn't help but talk to himself many times.
"So....anything I'd miss before I came here?" Tonks asked.
"You had to ask!" James answered her wearily.
