"Dumbledore has to give a speech?! But I'm hungry!" Protested Sirius as Dumbledore rose up from his seat.
He cleared his throat and spoke "I have a few words to say to you. Welcome back to Hogwarts! And welcome to Hogwarts to the first years! Everything forbidden or out of bounds is written on the list next to Mr. Filch's office. The Forbidden Forest is also out of bounds to everyone, unless someone wants to get lost or hunted down. I have just one more thing to say-Let the feast begin!" And with that, and applause, he sat down.
"Finally!" James cried and looked at the table where steaming dishes of food had just appeared.
"I'm never going to get hungry again!" Sirius laughed as he put some gravy onto his plate. "You got that right!" Agreed James, helping himself to lamb chops. "You know thats not true, you'll be hungry before you know it!" Said Remus, putting some food onto his plate after deciding he'd take second helpings later-and also dessert.
"Says the boy who eats like a chick!" Said Sirius, smiling. "Haha very funny." Remus said sarcastically. "Oh, and note the sarcasm. All that time, they hadn't even noticed James laughing like mad, and Peter looking at them all like they were some sort of inspiration for him.
Meanwhile, Lily had engaged herself in conversation with Marlene McKinnon, Severus was talking to Lucius and Tonks becoming popular at once by changing her hair to a violent shade of violet, making them spiky, and amusing her fellow housemates with her variety of noses.
All in all, this would be a night they'd all remember, especially the train ride.
