Agonizing Defeat

A caravan of people ride in front of Kory as he stumbles along the dirt road being dragged by a long piece of rope. looking forward Kory sees Jane looking over her shoulder looking at Kory tears still rolling down her face. "HEY KORY PICK UP THE PACE AND STOP LOOKING AT THE GIRL!" Kory grimaces as he looks down at his dragging feet leaking out crimson as he walks forward.

When the caravan stops Kory looks up to see a nice looking camp surrounding one cabin in the middle. "somebody get Kory out of those ropes I'm going to go have some.......fun" Kory looks up at billy as he digs his foot in the ground. As the men take off the ropes Kory shoots his hands up hitting one of the men in the jaw making the man stumble backwards, Kory runs forward grabbing the mans gun and pistol whips the man in the face turns around shooting the other two and stalks towards the building billy was in.

Kory burst through the door holding the gun up aiming at billy who was standing in front of the bed. "hey there Henry" Henry whips around only to find a gun in his face. "ah Kory you know better than anybody I've got some tricks up mt sleeve" As he says this several men walk out with guns and billy goes for his rifle but before he can Kory shoots at his hand hitting his hand in the process. billy pulls his his hand back as the crimson runs from his skin. "Wheres the girl" billy starts to laugh. "Kory your surrounded what makes you think that ill tell you anything" Kory pulls back the hammer on the revolver. "well lets make a deal give me the girl and i'll spare your life you wont even see me, so Henry what do you say" billy takes his stance as he sighs and signals for the men to put down there weapons. When they do billy reaches under the bed pulling out Jane by the hair pulling her up on her feet. "okay Kory take the girl next time I see you or your family there as good as dead" billy throws Jane towards Kory, as Kory catches her he removes the rope and the bandanna and hugs her moving his focus off of Billy, Jane hugs back as shes smiling. "I missed you" she starts to laugh a little bit as she rest her head on his chest "I missed you to" billy snarls as he looks at them "get out of here before I give a reason to shoot your both" Kory looks up and walks out of the house and towards the stables hopping on to one of the horses and pulling Jane up after him. "HEY HENRY THANKS FOR THE HORSE" when he says this he hears billy curse and he rides off with Jane leaning up against him as bullets whiz by nearly missing.

"Hey Kory........" Kory starts to slow down as he turns his head. "Yeah what is it" Jane hugs Kory tighter and digs her head into his back. "uh....um....Thank you so much for everything" Kory smiles as he stops the horse and jumps off the horse taking Jane with him. "Jane....just be careful I'd hate to see you hurt" he starts to hug her as Jane cries. "I....I'm....just....- she starts to cry more with each tear dropping off her face. "its...its..just......I was so scared for your life and billy and all of that" Kory starts to loosen his grip. "Jane.....Don't worry about me okay just worry about your self" she looks up at him with tears streaming down her face. "How can I.....you mean so much to me" as she says this her lip quivers. Kory turns his head to the side and mumbles something. "Kory what was that" she straightens her stance as she moves Kory's head towards her looking into his eyes. "what did you say" Kory's eyes dart from side to side. Then he held her tight and brought there lips close together. A smile appears on there face as they draw closer. the sun setting in the background and a shadow looming down the open field both of them embraced in each other when there lips touch it feels like an eternity before pulling a way.  "uh...um.....we should probably go somewhere for the night" Kory starts to take some of the items from a satchel on the horses back. "we can stay here for the night" Jane follows Kory as he puts a small camp together.
