A night to remember

As the camp finishes and the fire started Jane sits down next to Kory. "sooooo.......uh what do you want to eat" Kory shrugs. "I'm not that hungry just tired" she pulls out one of the fruits and starts to eat it. "well get some sleep and i'll head to bead soon" Kory shakes his head. "No not possible Jane I need to makes sure your safe and......I need to do something with your hair" Jane grabs her long hair and runs her hair through it. "your going to cut it arnt you" Kory nods as he grabs his knife. "but I wont do it just as long as you don't want me to Jane" Jane looks down at the ground while finishing her food. "yeah I want it cut" Kory walks up behind her putting his knife to her hair. "are you sure you want me to do this" she nods as she starts to draw in the dirt. As Kory starts to get done Jane sighs as she looks at the dead cut hair fall around her. "you know you didn't need to get your hair cut" Jane sighs again as she picks up a clump. "well its just I don't want anyone else to pull on my hair" as he gets done he runs his hand through her hair. "well fair but it kind of suit you I didn't cut it all off so you still kind of have long hair just...not as long" she goes through her hair still a decent length but not as long as it was. as she goes through her hair she hits Kory's hand and recoils. "You okay" Jane looks at her hand and her face turns red. "uh....yeah i'm fine" he stands up and starts to walk over to the tent when Jane stops him. "uh...um could you stay up with me?" Kory scratches the back of his head. "uh.....sure. what do you want to do?" she leans back and forth her hair swaying along with her. "well theirs something I've wanted to tell you for a while and I've been thinking about it. That kiss well its just I'm glad it happened " Kory's foot digs into the ground. "uh yeah i'm glad it happened to b-"before he can finish his sentence Jane walks forward just being near inches apart from Kory. "Theirs something else its.....I love you and I don't wan't you to put your self in danger" as sudden as she said this she hugs him. "I mean it Kory" Kory stands there unresponsive  looking at Jane. come on Kory do something don't just stand there, tell her how you feel. Instead of saying anything he just hugs her wishing he had said more.

When the sun sets Kory and Jane are still standing there embraced in each others grasp. "Jane are you still awake" nothing is heard but Jane's soft breathing. Kory smiles as he picks Jane and sets her down on the ground and wraps her in a blanket before stepping out side of the tent reaching into his pocket pulling out a small shiny ring. "dam if only it was easy as people said it would be" before he can put the ring away Jane peers through the tent. "Hey ko-.....What is that?" Kory freezes as he shoves the ring into his pocket. "Nothing..n...Nothing at all I swear" Jane steps out completely wrapped in the blanket. "Kory just tell me.....please" Kory reaches into his pocket and pulls out a ring. "I found this and was waiting for a good time to give you this but you caught me red handed" Kory holds out the ring to Jane. "uh...so will you-" before he can even finish Jane jumps up and hugs Kory. "YES...JUST YES" as this happens they both end up on the ground. "ow. Jane looks at him. "uh....sorry...I didn't mean-" Kory just smiles as she says this. "why are you smiling?" Kory shrugs as they both smile. "well you should actually take the ring before it gets lost" Jane takes the ring and puts it on. "you know I never would have thought that I'd get proposed late at night in a field while I...uh...um..never mind" Jane rolls of to Kory's side and looks over at him. "you know something?" Kory shrugs and looks over at Jane. "well I've been thinking and I don't think I've ever Loved someone like actually loved them" they both smile as they look up at the sky there hands entwined they both drifting off to sleep.
