I swear I've asked this question to myself many times.
I asked myself this..
.. that one time you were overseas and not able to call me cause you're too tired after the whole-day training. I was so worried and couldn't sleep.. so frightened that something might have happened to you. I got mad at you for making me worried.
.. whenever you forgot to put your socks in the hamper.
.. whenever you let the coffee from your teaspoon stain the table. You know how I hate seeing stains in the kitchen.
.. the times you snore so loud when you're tired.. coz I'm also tired that I wanna have a good night sleep, too.
.. whenever it took you so long to get ready whenever we ought to go somewhere. You know I hate Filipino time. Period.
.. whenever you don't take me seriously when I am seriously mad about some things.
.. whenever we have opposing views about something and you never let me win when my point is obviously more valid.. just to annoy me.
.. whenever you just let me win the argument just so we end it. 🤦🏻♀️
I probably could go on all day enumerating the reasons why it might be a mistake that I married you.. 😅😂 But one thing's for sure, I will never not love you despite these many reasons.
You taught me one of the greatest virtues in life and love.. patience.
That no matter how many failure, it is okay to rest but giving up is not an option. Trying is limitless.
That no matter how long the journey is, you'll eventually arrive at your destination. Carry on. Eyes on the prize. 👀
That when you want to make something right, you don't have to hurry on it.
That no matter how slow your pace is, a slow progress is still a progress.. lol.
That we don't have to rush the things that we want to last forever.
So..
how long will I love you?
Honestly, I don't know.
Maybe, until my last breath. Or probably til life after death. Or perhaps until our next lifetime.
