Bea entered their living room in suspicion. It was eerie quiet. Not the usual feels inside the Ravena household.
Since the birth of Izzy, their home was never quiet. Unless of course, when Izzy was sleeping. It became less chaotic when Izzy turned three. By that time, they can easily sway her to obey them. And she already recognized parental command.
But it was short-lived.
Shortly after Izzy turned three, Bea gave birth to their second child, Fernanda Isabelle or Andie.
Andie was the sweetest and most-behaved child in the world.
Or so they thought.
Until she learned the use of her legs and her arms.
The moment she learned to crawl, nobody was allowed to blink in their home. Or else, you would find her climbing the stairs.. or the sofa.. or anything she would find climbable.
And then Izzy would imitate her sister's antics. They couldn't blame their eldest. She longed for a playmate the moment she experienced playing with kids of her age. Before that, it was only momma or daddy or her lolos and lolas.
She was already two when she was allowed to play with her cousins.. like play, play. And on that age, she learned that elders and fun never belonged in the same sentence.
From then on, she learned that the best playmate wasn't daddy and definitely not her momma as she once thought.
So when Bea got pregnant, it wasn't the normal and expected scene of an only-child-getting-jealous-of -an-upcoming-baby drama.
Izzy was over the moon. Finally, someone fun is coming over their home. She couldn't wait.
And then, the Ravena household turned into a jungle once more as soon as the additional member of the family came.
Bea was still in the foyer but she could already that the house was in chaos. As if a storm has just passed.
As soon as she set foot in their living room, she noticed at once the rolls of tissue paper scattered all over the floor. It was a lot. She just hoped that whatever's left in the bathroom would be enough until tomorrow.
And powder was all over the floor. Her brows furrowed. Was it the baby powder?
She specifically told her husband, for so many times reminded him that baby powder shouldn't be put anywhere near their children's reach especially with Andie. The girl just loved to smear their house with powder everywhere.
Throw pillows were literally all over the floor.
Bea removed her heels and tiptoed towards the kitchen. She needed to be barefoot, afraid that she might slip from the baby powder.
The kitchen was as messy as the living room.
Thirdy probably made pancakes. It was the only food that he could prepare using the skillet, the bowl and the eggs which were all over the counter. And there was pancake mix splattered on the table. And then, she saw the pancake box and egg shells shoved in the corner.
Bea was tired.
She was at the arena earlier to cover the first game on the women's volleyball. Then went to the studio to tape an interview with other volleyball athletes from different seasons for the new sports show to be launched by Sports & Action.
The mess was making her itchy. She wanted to clean it the soonest but first, she needed to see her kids.. and her husband.
And as she expected, Thirdy and the kids were in their kids' room on the second floor of their three-storey house. She could hear her kids's giggle the moment she opened the door.
