LOUD SCREAMS ERUPTED from everyone's mouths as they continueed their decent all the way down to what felt like hell.
Andrea and Steve clung tightly to each other, his arms were wrapped around her torso tightly to keep her against his chest and her hands were clasped around his wrists to keep herself from going anywhere. Robin gripped onto the shelving, Dustin was holding onto the panel box and Erica was holding onto the table beside her.
"We're going down! We're going down!" Steve yelled over everyone's screams.
"Yeah, no shit, Harrington!" Robin yelled back.
"Why don't these buttons work?" Dustin screamed and began slamming all of the buttons as hard as he could, hoping that one of them would give them a good result.
Erica darted over time the panel box, hip-checking Dustin. "Press the button!" She exclaimed.
"Come on, press something! Just press the button!" Steve exclaimed, causing Andrea to yank her head away from Steve's mouth. "Sorry," he whispered quickly into her ear.
Andrea opened her mouth to respond but was quickly yanked to the floor once the elevator slammed to a stop. The girl's elbows slammed down, hitting Steve and her forehead smacked off the floor.
Two boxes dropped off the table near Andrea and Steve, each teenager received a cardboard box on top of them. Both of them let out loud groans.
"My groin," Steve cried out and scrunched up his nose. "It fell on my groin." He pushed the box upwards and looked over at the other boy in the room. "Dustin! Get these off of us! We can't move."
Dustin shuffled over to the couple and lifted the box away from Steve, resting it down on the table safely.
Steve stood up and pulled the box off of Andrea's side, shoving it onto the table. "You okay?" He asked and took her hand once they shot up into the air. He lifted her to her feet and cupped her face, inspecting the bruise forming on her left cheekbone.
"I'm fine," Andrea said softly and pushed Steve's hands away from her face. "I just need a minute," she added and walked away from the group, heading over to the other side of the room. The blonde sat down on another table and propped her elbows on her thighs, resting her head in her hands to keep the room from spinning. She sucked in a deep breath and exhaled, trying to keep herself from vomiting all over the floor.
"Is everyone okay?" Robin asked and cupped the back of her head, looking around at everyone.
"Yeah, I'm great, now that I know that Russians can't design elevators!" Steve yelled angrily and shoved Dustin away from the panel box. He swung the door open and began pushing the buttons once again.
"I think we've clearly established that those buttons don't work," Robin pointed out and rested her hand on Andrea's back, running her hand up and down slowly. She leaned down and pressed her cheek against the girl's head gently. "You okay?" She whispered and all she got was a nod.
"They're buttons. They have to do something," Steve stated, using hand gestures to prove his point.
"Yeah, if we had a keycard," Robin said, using her free hand to point toward the panel.
"A what?" Steve questioned and looked at the girl, his expression softening when his eyes landed on his girlfriend.
"It's an electronic lock," Robin said and patted Andrea's back gently before walking away. "Same as the loading dock door. If we don't have a keycard, it won't operate, meaning—"
