13 Reasons Why X Hiccstrid

A/N: Starting from here is season 2 and I can't find any moments of Justin and Jessica as Hiccstrid but only three from the whole of season 2. So, there'll only be three oneshots then it's on to season 3. Oh, they will now look like in httyd 2.

Scene: At school when Hiccup tries to reconcile with Astrid.

Author's POV

Ever since Astrid broke up with him, Hiccup broke his friendship with Drago and remained homeless. He couldn't live at his own house since Seth would still abuse him and he didn't want to live at Drago's house anymore. So, he just stayed on the streets, smoking heroin and doing unusual things to get money to not starve himself to death. While doing so, his already messy hair became longer, untamed and shaggy while his tiny stubble had become very noticeable. (A/N: imagine him now in httyd 2, not rtte)

Until Fishlegs and Viggo found him on the streets and decided to bring him with them. This was because they needed him to testify as a witness to Astrid's assault since Heather killed herself if Astrid wanted to testify against Drago.

But Hiccup didn't want any contact with any of his schoolmates or friends, so when Fishlegs tried to convince him to come back, he just said "F*ck you" as a response and made it clear that he was still hated by Astrid and that she didn't want him back but they were cornered by an elderly man calling the cops so they had to get out of the alleyway by escaping in Viggo's Mustang. They learned that Hiccup stole money from Seth before leaving and he would be killed if he showed up at his mother's house again. So, with no other choice, Fishlegs decided to secretly bring him to his house, without his parents' knowledge.

But when Fishlegs found Hiccup's stash of heroin in his clothes, he (Fishlegs) and Viggo realized that they needed to detox him if he was going to testify in court. Ruffnut volunteered to help Fishlegs because she still felt guilty for tricking Fishlegs and hurting his feelings, as well as trying to become a better person in the future.

The only people who knew that Hiccup was back were Fishlegs, Viggo, and Ruffnut as they kept this a secret to prevent the local authorities from catching him on sight in case one of them filed a report against him.

Meanwhile, during his detox process, Hiccup experienced several emotional roller coasters, thinking about Astrid at the mention of her name, as well as experiencing roller coasters in his stomach, throwing up every content in his stomach.

One day, while Ruffnut taking care of Hiccup and detoxing him, Hiccup begged for her to buy him half a gram of heroin, but she refused, reminding him to help Astrid, as he sobbed thinking about her again.

"Well, then stop being such a little bitch and drink this," she said as she handed him a bottle of green liquid.

"I've never heard you said 'bitch' before," Hiccup responded as he drank the liquid while Ruffnut joked that she never had to babysit his 'crying ass' before as she handed him a bottle of Gatorade. He gulped it down to half as he closed the bottle with the lid.

"You're welcome," Ruffnut said.

But Hiccup just burped as a response as he sighed in relief from vomiting just now and rested his head against a bucket that was in front of him while Ruffnut patted his back to ease and soothe him.

This went on for several weeks whereby Fishlegs tried to hide Hiccup from his parents, while Viggo and Ruffnut took turns to take care of Hiccup.

Hiccup sneaks out from the Ingerman's household, wearing his hoodie and carrying his duffle bag as he walks to school.

As he arrives at the school, everyone stops to look at him because they are shocked to see him again after a long time. Some are whispering at his sudden appearance while some just keep quiet but stare at him as he walks his way to the cafeteria to find Astrid.

Once he enters the cafeteria, once again everyone who is there looks up and is surprised to Hiccup return, even Astrid, who although still has his postcard doesn't want anything to do with him.

"Hey, Astrid. I missed you. Can we go somewhere to talk, alone?" Hiccup asks awkwardly but not caring about the people watching him, but Astrid doesn't feel the same.

"No."

"I came back for you. It's the only reason why I'm here. If you want me to stay, I promise you I'm here for good. If you want me to go, I'll go. Forever, this time," Hiccup says while fiddling with the sling of his duffle bag.

"You said that before," Astrid whispers, reminding him of their last encounter before they part ways.

"I... I tried to go away. I tried to forget about you. I... I tried so f*cking hard. But I can't stop thinking about you." Hiccup says, nearly breaking remembering the last time he said that final sentence to Astrid.

There it is again. The spark in his eyes, begging for forgiveness.

"Yeah, I think about you, too," Astrid replies as Hiccup stares at her with the tiniest shed of hope.

"And I wish you were dead." Astrid deadpans and crosses her arms, crushing Hiccup's hope of reuniting with her because she has made it clear that she still hates him and doesn't want anything to do with him. And she is still firm in her decision to no longer be with him.

Hiccup realizes and knows that she still hates him and feels hurt and betrayed by Fishlegs because he is told that Astrid wants him back and she wants to see him. She hasn't changed her mind and her decision.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you more." Hiccup says as he turns around to leave while looking at some of the students with an ashamed face. He then sees a familiar face.

Drago Bludvist.

"You." Hiccup angrily growls as Drago stares at him while Viggo and Dogsbreath stand by in case if they break out in a fight.

But Hiccup faints and collapses on the floor due to shock and still being sick from his detox process, shocking and worrying everyone as they rise from their seats to check on him, murmuring.

"Hiccup!" Astrid exclaims, concerned, as Fishlegs and Viggo rush to Hiccup's side to help him.

Astrid looks on worried as tears well up in her eyes but she controls them since she finally made it clear in front of everyone that she doesn't care about him.

Despite still hating him, Astrid still feels concerned for her ex-boyfriend because she loved him and she stills thinks about him, but not dead. She also feels guilty because she lied about those she said seconds ago because she was worried about the students thinking about her relationship with Hiccup. She wants him back in her life because she still loves him.

She is now unsure of what to do about Hiccup although it seems she is going out with Snotlout again. Her thoughts now only are about Hiccup and only Hiccup. She doesn't want anything to do with him but at the same time feels concerned for his well being.

What will she do now?
