I'll be late if i don't hurry. Goodbye!" Jung kook waved at you as a love struck smile creeped into his face.
"One day Y/N."

"Just one day."

Jimin greeted you once again instantly as you walked through the door.
"They have a new case for you and Hoseok!" He said enthusiastically as he handed you a folder. "Its the required information about the recent case.
Don't lose it." You nodded snatching the file away from him. "And ask Jin to bring me a coffee please!" You nodded at him.

You sat on your desk and opened the file, it was a picture of the scene.
It seemed like a robbery because the jewelry store was trashed and the glass containers have been broken beyond repair, a body was laying on the ground blood pouring from the poor victims head, "must've been a witness.." you mumbled to yourself. You took one picture out of the folder in general.
One with an "U2" painted with red spray paint on the white walls of the jewelry store.

"U2." A voice repeated from behind you causing you to shut the files forcibly.
"You startled me!" You glared at your newly assigned partner. "I didn't do anything!" He whined. "Now stop being a baby! We have work to do." You rose an eyebrow but kept quiet because to say the truth he was right. You two headed off into the crime scene investigation.

"I'll give you a ride!" Hoseok said dangling his keys on the tip of his finger. You nodded and got in the passenger seat as he hit the gas pedal.

When the both of you arrived to the crime scene, you pushed by a bunch of people that were curious of the events, Hoseok jumped over the yellow 'caution' tapes holding it up for you to pass under. Once you entered both of you were greeted by the most grewsome crime scene that you both have ever seen in your career's.

There was a 20-25 year old woman lying on the floor, head cut opened and filled with blood; but most importantly ... dead, she was dead, you were mortified by the view. "what the fuck."Hoseok said, he wanted to puke to say the least. He's never seen a dead body this close before and he couldn't handle the foul odor that was all around the crime scene. You scoffed and chuckled at his un-professional reaction and immediately began investigating the scene more thoroughly.

It was a mess to say the least; There was shattered glass everywhere and a big chunk of glass that was used as the murder weapon. By how the scene looked like alone, Y/N's theory that this was a witness that had to be killed last minute was proved correct by the sloppy and messy murder method used on the victim which also meant that the criminal's intent wasn't to kill but to just steal. Hoseok took pictures of the woman to identify her later while trying not to puke.
"She must of been the shop keeper." He managed to say through gags.
"Sure looks like it." You replied.

The victim died by the stab and loss of blood, the only injury she received was the huge gash on her head which caused her demise. Either than that, the only other piece of evidence was the spray painted in red 'U2' on the white wall behind the victim. You couldn't figure out what the letter U and the number 2 had to do with the crime nor the victim since the victims name didn't start with an U, the dots didn't seem to be connecting at all.

As you reached out to pick up an instrument to help with the investigation, Hoseok had the same reflex so his hand touched yours and you look up and stare at him. His first instinct was to make eye contact as you quickly took your hand away from his and shivered out of "disgust".

By what you found on the scene, you came to the conclusion that this was the work of a rookie criminal who didn't know what they where doing but surprisingly got away with it.

As you where leaving, Hoseok pointed out that by the exit there was a shiny metal object. Hoseok carefully picked it up and noticed that it was a ring; and for some reason Y/N thinks it looks familiar. "Is it gucci?" He said trying it on but afterward letting out a shriek.
You rose an eyebrow- "it has BLOOD, I'm-" you rolled your eyes motioning him to go outside for fresh air. Other than that, they thought that it could be the victim's so you tried it on the victim's fingers but it didn't fit so you just deducted that it was dropped by someone when they where running from the dangerous situation and took it in to evidence anyway.

Both you and Hoseok left the crime scene and took the newly found evidence to Yoongi.
Picking up the glass shard with gloves adding it as piece of evidence.

"You only found a ring..?" You both nodded. Yoongi took a closer look at the small ring, "it has blood on it so the suspect must of left it behind, we could definitely start a dna search..Well done." Yoongi said placing it back gently on the desk.

You exited Yoongi's office, Hoseok hot on your trail. "For being an asshat you sure work well.." you complimented nudging his shoulder. He laughed lightly, "what can i say?"

"Y/N!" You hummed, focusing your view on who called your name, jimin waved you over.
"how'd the case go?" He asked leaning on his desk interested in the topic.
"We found a bloody ring and the 'U2' thing."
Jimin's eyebrows arched.

"U2? Like youtube or something?"

You shook your head. "No, that's definitely not it."
"Then what?"
"A date?" You mumbled to yourself.
You rushed back towards Hoseok who was serving himself a cup of coffee.
"A date!" "A what?" You scoffed.
"What if 'U2' stands for a date?"
Hoseok poured a bit of sugar into his coffee mug and with a spoon, mixed it.
"That's dumb. Why would the killer put a random date on the wall of a crime scene?" he sipped his cup.
"The culprit is leaving clues maybe..?"
"What about the ring?"
"Must've been a mistake of some sort."
"So they didn't purposely placed it there." Hoseok shrugged "makes sense, but the date part is still dumb."

"We have a head start already."
