Niall's POV

Its been about three weeks since Cassie's surgery and being released from the hospital. Her mom decided it would be a good idea for me to come over and spend time with her since she can't go out and do what her and Taylor had planned for the summer. Taylor is a great friend though she has stopped by everyday to check on Cassie. Ruth, Cassie's mom has an appointment today with her cancer doctor. The whole situation with Cassie's mom is very sad. I can't even begin to imagine what Cassie is feeling having to watch all of it unfold. Which is why I am taking her to see a movie and get ice cream afterwards while her mom is out.

When I arrive at Cassie's house it's about 12:45 and the movie starts at 1:30 plus I haven't even told Cassie yet that we are going.

"HI NIALL!!" Cassie kind of screamed at me as I walked through the door

Her mom says for me to just go ahead and walk in no need to knock.

"Hey Cass, so I was thinking we could go see that new movie The Notebook today it starts at 1:30 so that gives us plenty of time to get over there."

she looked at me with a huge grin on her face

"sure Ni, but you do know that is a romantic comedy kind of movie right?"

she's right it is a romantic movie which is why I want to take her to see it. I want to test how far she will let me go. I really just want to kiss her, actually I lied I want to do more than kiss her but we'll start with kissing her first. I don't want to seem to eager.

"uh duh I know but that movie looks so good and Ryan Gosling is like so sexy you know." I reply sarcastically to her.

It's about an hour into the movie and so far I've been able to get Cassie to let me put my arm over her shoulders and to hold my hand. Right now she is resting her head on my shoulder which feels amazing I might add. I'm really nervous about kissing her I don't want her to get mad at me if I do and ruin our friendship. I really do like her though and I think she likes me back. Listen to me rambling on again

"Hey Cassie you wanna grab some ice cream after the movie is over?" I whisper in her ear

"Nah not today I'm actually kind of tired can we just go back to my house and chill for the afternoon?" She asked sleepily

"yeah sure whatever you want to do."

We arrive back at Cassie's house around 3:45, her mom sent her a text saying she wasn't going to be home until late tonight, she was going to a friend's house and they were going to Blue Moon Bar to let loose. So that leaves Cassie and I alone practically all night. We watch a movie on Netflix and just relax for a while before Cassie complains that she's hungry. So being the gentleman that I am I cook us dinner, trying to be as romantic as possible I turn her kitchen into the scene from The Notebook where Allie remembers Noah. Cassie comes hobbling into the kitchen and her eyes I can see are welling up with tears

"Cass you're crying? What's the matter?"

"Nothing nobody has ever made me a candle light dinner before. It's just taken me by surprise is all?"

"Well Cassie you see."

I start to stumble for the right words I don't want to scare her away by spilling out my feelings for her. So I do the only logical thing at that time I wrap my arm behind her neck and place my other hand on her side then slowly dip her kissing her ever so softly.

She doesn't slap me away, actually she is kissing me back, her breath taste so sweet on my tongue It's very hard to stay calm right now. My insides are on fire I want to tear into this girl so bad. I have wanted her for so long it feels like but I can't be an animal. She's the kind of girl you have to be gentle with you have to love her I don't see how anyone couldn't she's perfect.
