Chapter 6

Jonesy and Wildcat have been at Master Key's house for a while talking it out with him and Luxe. Catalyst is there but she's only listening in case she has to step in. "Look I'm glad you were kind enough to let me into your home and talk this out with you. I know he's your little brother and I respect that, I just wanted you to know that you honestly have nothing to worry about with me I swear", Jonesy tells a still skeptical Master Key. After a long moment of silence Master Key finally says something. "Ok, don't give a fuck. Bye", he says abruptly before getting up to leave the room. Luxe looks honestly offended at Master Key's blunt reaction and Jonesy gets up to try to talk to him some more before he goes to his room, causing Master Key to get even more annoyed."Look I just don't want any bad blood between us that's all. I want to know why you have an issue with me being with your brother. Do you think I'm gonna do something to him or something?", Jonesy asks him. 

"Of course I do. I don't trust you or anyone else with my brother and that's not gonna change. Why would it. Why do you even care so much if I give a shit about you or not", Master Key asks."I honestly don't care if you like me. I care that I don't want Drift to see us fighting all the time. I wanna marry him and I wanna make sure everything's good with his fam-", Jonesy gets quickly cut off by Master Key."No no no HELL NO. You are not gonna marry my brother asshat. God no.", Master Key says honestly beginning to offend Jonesy a little bit, who is trying his best to keep his cool. Luxe gets up and tries to mediate the situation."Key honey you need to calm down you are taking this too far now", Luxe lets him know. "I don't care I'm not gonna let this shithead marry my brother", Master Key says. "Ok man chill, you haven't even told me one real reason why you won't let me. I just wanna know why that's all", Jonesy says.

 "Ok you wanna know why I don't trust your ass one bit with my brother? Because you just came out of fucking nowhere. Listen, do you have any idea what kind of hell Drift was going through with Raptor before you came around? Every fucking time I ever saw him he would be completely covered up, which was fine at first. But when I finally convinced him to take off his coat and stuff when he was at my house, I saw what Raptor did to him. He pretty much had a new scrape or bruise every time I saw him. That's if I even got to see him. Raptor pretty much kept Drift all to himself the entire time they were dating. That bastard wouldn't even let Drift go to the grocery store or my house if he wasn't with him. Finally fucking finally I was able to get Drift out of Raptor's house one time. I told him I would NEVER let another man hurt him like this ever again. But one day he goes back, says 'Raptor's changed and so on'. Then I get a call from him one day that he has a new boyfriend. So you mean to tell me one minute my brother is getting the snot beat out of him everyday by Raptor and then all of a sudden I hear he's with some rando who I've never even met?! How the hell am I supposed to trust you?", Master Key yells at Jonesy. 

Jonesy, Wildcat, and Catalyst look at him shocked, and Luxe stands there quietly. Wildcat gets up and goes beside Jonesy seeing him begin to get worked up. "I-I had no idea about any of this...at all. Key I-" Jonesy gets cut off again by Master Key getting up in his face aggressively. "I will be damned if I am ever ok with any man Drift brings around anymore. And I will sure as hell not fucking approve of you two getting married, get the fuck out of my house NOW!", Master Key yells at Jonesy before pointing at the door. Jonesy ablodges not wanting to start anymore trouble and Wildcat follows him out. Wildcat just stands there stunned from all the commotion and she sees Jonesy sit down on the ground below her, rubbing his temples in frustration. She sits next to him trying to figure out what to say before she sees tears silently fall down his face. "Jonesy...Jonesy it's gonna be ok, are you thinking about all the stuff he said about Drift", Wildcat asks him. Jonesy just looks down and is trying to find the words to say."I.......I can't believe my poor baby had to go through all of that. I just....I'm just thinking about how Raptor hurt my baby and I just......I'm so angry someone would lay their hands on Drift like that. Why would someone do something like that to him, I just wanna hold him right now..", Jonesy says breaking down into tears with Wildcat comforting him as they sit there.

Ramirez and Drift are sitting on the couch waiting for Jonesy and Wildcat to come back from wherever they went to. They finally come home and Drift can already notice Jonesy's tear stained face. "Jonesy, Jonesy what happened where were you and Wildcat?", Drift asks concerned, cupping Jonesy's face in his hands.

Jonesy looks at Drift worried that he's about to tell him that he went to Master Key's house without him knowing. Jonesy takes Drift's hands and holds them up to his lips to kiss them before telling him what really happened. "Baby, don't be mad but.....we kinda went to Master Key's house to talk things over", Jonesy says before Drift yanks his hands away angrily. "Excuse me what?! Why were you at my brother's house?", Drift asks shocked. "Ok don't be mad...but I just wanted to wanted to ask him if there was any way for me and him to, y'know, maybe get along a little better", Jonesy answers nervously, still confusing Drift a little."Wait why did you need to talk things over, I thought everything was just fine. You told me that everything went fine with you and Master Key. Did you lie to me this whole time?", Drift asks him a little hurt.

"Well I didn't wanna lie to you I just didn't wanna worry you about anything. I thought if I went to his house to try to smooth things over, everything could just be swept under the rug. But then when I tried talking to him he started getting a little irritated and it became impossible to talk to him about anything. And well, when I asked why he had a problem with me, he told me some things", Jonesy explained, shyly rubbing the back of his neck, not wanting to look at Drift after pretty much admitting to going behind his back. Drift is looking at Jonesy irritated and trying to figure out what he meant by "things" and then it clicks and he becomes furious. Jonesy sees Drift getting upset and tries to calm him down,"Baby I'm so so-", Jonesy tries to say before Drift bluntly interrupts him. "You're really gonna try to tell me sorry after you went behind my back about something so personal like that?! What, did you want me to spell it out for you why my brother might have been a little overprotective is that it. Do I have to freaking tell you that Raptor hit me is that it?! Do you want the entire freaking island to know about all of this, do you really wanna humiliate me like this?! Why do you have to know everything that goes on with me why couldn't you just leave this alone?!", Drift yells before Wildcat has to step in. "Drift it wasn't Jonesy's fault Key told him that stuff, Key's the one that blurted it out, he wasn't trying to pry into your past like that I swear".

Drift looks at her angrily too,"So that's where you were? You were with him? You went behind my back too?" Wildcat wants to say something but she can't. Drift angrily rushes past Jonesy to the front door. "I think it'd be a good idea if I didn't sleep in the lodge tonight, I need to cool down. If you need me I'll be in the mini house. I'm gonna be sleeping alone", Drift says before eyeing Jonesy and leaving.

I am so so sorry this one took so long it. I thought it was a little too sad so I held off for the longest time. I'll try to be better about updating the fanfic.
