18. Understandings

That Night..

"You didnt ask him to be with you?" Freed walks in the kitchen with Raiden.

Laxus is in charge of dinner.

"I couldn't bring myself to tell him that I want him.. that he is my happiness.." Rouge said. "But I told him that if he is happy..then I am happy."

Rouge smiled, not by force, genuine. Freed smiled aswell.

The next day...

"Your leaving already?" Freed ask.

"Yes..I wouldn't want ti bother you..and I hear that a wedding and a ceremony is to be held by next week?

And as for me I have to go back to the guild to rub off my mark."

"You're really leaving Sabertooth?" Laxus ask hugging Freed from behind.

"I could not even look at the master in the eye..

And even his happiness with someone else..

I think it's better for me if I just ignore it and go through my own path." Rouge said kissing Lyros.

"So you're running away?" Freed took Laxus' hand off him, angry.

"Yes.." Rouge confidently say. "But for now, I would like to just spend my gem for some supply on Lyryos...

And a place to live."

Freed look down, guilty. As if he's the one in fault of this happening.

As if he was the reason, Rouge is suffering.

"Well I better go..

Goodbye.." Rouge walk out the door.

Laxus waved goodbye.

Freed didnt. He didnt even flinch or move. He was so under the ground, that even digging him up would do no good.

"Laxus..

I want to go to Sabertooth.

And Im going to bring Natsu with me." Freed turn to Laxus.

Laxus sighed rubbing his temples.

"I.." Laxus muttered.

And smiled. He looked at Freed.

"I just love you so much."

Rouge walk to an empty alley and held Lyryos tighter.

"If I just send you to an orphanage..

You'd be safer, right, Lyryos?" Rouge smiled. He pass through the alley way and goes through the crowded market.

The place was very crowded you couldn't even see ahead.

Though, Rouge pass them easily and stops infront of a small apartment.

"Hmm.."

Rouge comes in and immediately is greeted by an old lady, with a weird animal around her neck.

"He-hello..is there an empty bed room avaible?" Rouge ask.

She stared at him forawhile and shaked her head. "Yes of course!

The first floor has its spacious bedroom 

And we have another one, smaller and a little bit tighter, costing 70000 jewels, a month.

I would live to give an offer, for you though..

How about 40000 Jewels instead?"
