For the next week whenever I would try to talk to Ell alone, some annoying brother would show up. I was fed up with them all so I told them I was going to the mall, but went to Ell's house instead. I stand outside his house and ring the doorbell. He answers it and grins at me.

"Hey Del." he says.

"Hey, I think we need to talk." I say.

"Okay." he nods and we go up to his room.

"So.." he says. I sigh. I'm probably going to end up regretting what I'm going to say.

"Well... I'm not really sure how to say this but I.. I... like you as like more than a friend." I say.

His eyes widen. "Really?" he asks.

I nod. "You know what I really shouldn't have said that... I'm sorry for being so extremely awkward." I say.

"No.. It's okay... I...I feel the same way." he says.

"Really?" I ask trying my best not to sound too excited.

He nods. I sigh and sprawl out across his bed. "Well.. what do we do? I mean we're in the same band and all that... things could get awkward." I say.

He nods. "I don't know." he says.

"We just have to keep our feelings secret I guess.." I say shrugging.

"From everybody." he says.

I nod. "How do we do that?" I ask.

"I don't know." he says.

"Wait so are we like dating?" I ask.

"I was hoping." he says.

I grin. "Okay, so we're just going to have to be together in secret." I say.

He nods. I get up off his bed. He's sitting in a chair by his computer. He gets up and wraps his arms around me in a tight hug. I hug back. We pull away and I rest my head on his shoulder.

"So.. how long have you.. you know liked me?" he asks.

'I don't know... a while." I say.

"Same." he says grinning.

I take my head off his shoulder.

"I should probably get going." I say. Even though if I could I would stay in this moment forever.

"Okay." he says.

"Oh wait!" he exclaims.

He runs to his desk drawer and pulls something out of it. He walks over and slips it into my hand. It's a necklace, with a green heart and a pink heart on it. He helps me put it on.

"Thanks Ell. I love it!" I say. He grins and quickly kisses me on the cheek before I leave.
