Chapter 1

Morty's pov.

As I was grabbing my history book from my locker-and totally not listening in on Jessica's conversation with her friends- I overheard Jessica squeal, I immediately looked over at her

"oh my god girls I can't believe Flesh curtain is coming here to perform, ahhh I really wish I could go" Jessica said leaning against her locker

"maybe Brad will take you?" Malissa said to her

"I highly doubt it, he's too cheap for that" Jessica said looking down.

maybe I can take her I thought to myself yeah yeah I should ask her

i close my locker and awkwardly walk over to her "h-hey Jessica, I heard yo-you were wanting to go see th-the band flesh curtain and I was planning to go and wanted t-to know if you wanted to go see it with me" I said smiling weirdly my eyes widening I probably looked like a creep no way she'd go with me "oh really um sure that sounds really fun" she said smiling awkwardly back "cool nice" I said looking away blushing fuck yeah! "do you need my number?" She said. "what?!" I said a little too quickly and a little too loud. "you know so we can talk about the concert and stuff?" She said looking a little confused, "oh yeah sure" I said as she wrote it on the corner of her paper and tore it off, handing it to me "see you later Morty" she said and winked at me while turning around and walking off with her friends "nice, good job Morty" I say to myself and I turn and walk to class with a big smile on my face.

~Later~

When the bell rang for us to finally go home I was one of the first out of my chair and out into the Hall speed walking out of the school, I would be running but id get yelled at and probably get detention so speed walking would have to do, by the time I got outside I saw Jessica getting into her mom's white mini van I wave at her and she unexpectedly waves back this is the best day of my life I think and loudly sigh at the end holding my bag close to my chest and started to quickly walk back to my house so I could find out where to get those tickets thank goodness I decided to get that job I smile to myself

~at home~

"I'm home!" I yell and drop my bag on the floor and throw myself on the couch sighing happily "someone had a good day" my mom said as she walked into the living room "did something happen?" She finished "yup! I got a date with Jessica!" I almost yelled "woah with the girl you've been crushing on since freshman year? Good for you" She says in a confused tone at first "you bet" I say smiling bigger than before "where are you taking her?" She says leaning against the couch " to go see Flesh curtain" I said while grabbing my laptop out of my bag afterwards I look up at her and she's just looking at me shocked "nope nope no, sorry you can't go" she says in a serious tone when I heard her say that I felt like my whole world had just collapsed underneath me "what, why!?" I say mad and confused "because concerts like that are horrible it's full of people smoking,drinking and doing drugs" she snaps at me "please mom! I'm doing on my first date with the girl of my dreams no less please!" I beg "no Morty I'm not letting you go and that's final" she says and walks away leaving me alone in the living room, I scream into a couch pillow and open my laptop googling when the concert was and how much it'll be "aw geez it's 75$ each and it's tonight! Well duh all fun things are on Friday nights and expensive hmm I got to think of a way to be able to go.." I mumble to myself "mom!" I yell after a few seconds she walks back into the living room with a whine glass in her hand "what? I already said-" she was saying but I cut her off "I know i know I texted Jessica and we decided to go to Tony's instead so is it cool if I go?" I say while sitting up and innocently looking at her "you're going to Tony's?" She asked "yup" i answered "you're not just saying this so you can go out tonight?" She asked "no mom we're just going to go eat and maybe to the lake or park or something romantic like that" I say hoping she can't tell im lying, she looks at me for a few seconds "fine I guess its fine then but if I find out you went to that concert you're so grounded" she said glaring at me "well have fun" she said while walking past me and up the stairs "ok thank you I love you!" I yell to her and open my laptop to buy the tickets. After I bought them I took my phone out trying to get the courage to text Jessica, a few minutes later I decided to text her and tell her that I just got our tickets and asked if she was excited, I stared at my phone for a few minutes waiting for a reply, after a few minutes later she finally texted back saying she was super excited and she was getting her things ready so she was sorry if she didn't respond right away (even though the concert doesn't start till like 9 and it was only 4:30) I said it was okay and for her to text me when she was ready, after i sent that text I sat my phone down and decide to start getting ready for getting ready? Myself? I lay down for a few minutes before deciding to get up and lazily walk up the stairs to my boring looking room grabbing a set of clothes, a red and black shirt that said flesh curtain (that I may or may not have taken out of my sister's room while she was texting on the toilet) as well as a red and black flannel and ripped black jeans and my sisters grey beanie. I assumed flesh curtain was a rock concert so I decided to dress the part. I took the outfit as well as a pair of socks and a pair of black converses and set them on top of my dresser and dropped onto my bed and setting an alarm for 7 before wrapping my body around my pillow snuggling it pretending it was Jessica

(I don't wanna make it too long nor write the whole book in one chapter so I'ma end it here chapter 2 should be let out right after this)
