The Salvage

kim Taehyung and jung taekwoon brothers?? How in the holy dawn is this possible?

The world turned upside down for hongbin, He barely thought of such a possibility, not even in his wildest dreams. Dumbstruck by what he heard he sat down right opposite the school on a bench Untill he got a hold of the situation.

He was trying to clear off all his thoughts before he decided to save kim. But some sort of hope lingered in him saying ; they were brothers, whatsoever, so lucas might not kill him.

'no he cant, he wont, how can someone kill his own brother even if it was the darkest revenges of all time' he convinced himself.

His phone rang amidst these tides of emotions, minah was calling, "hongbin!! ive traced the no you gave me"

"where is it!!"

"its somewhere near the outskirts of daegu, the phone lost its connection after that, this is all i could find with just the number, ill text you the details"

"it's okay"

Phone calls looped one after the other, ravi called just after he hung  up minah.

"hongbin-ah we found where lucas has kept Taehyung, its a high chance he'll be there too, ill come with our forces right away, stay put" he ordered panting hard.

"NO"
hongbin realised the place ravi mentioned and the location minah texted were the same "ill go there first and save Taehyung, i can manage" he said as he sprang to his car and sat inside.

Without another minute delay, the accelerator vroomed and he shot into thin air.

Lucas had kept kim captive in what looked like a building that was nurtured not less than decades ago. If left for a few more years it would grow algae and rot. The doors were hardly managing to hold onto the hinges and the window panes opaque with oil. The plants had taken over the walls and few cracked through it into the house.

Kim was unconscious on his chair, still tied up brutally. His state was worse now, he was drenched in blood, his shirt and pant blood red and his face bruised to blue. Eyes half open and mouth gaped with blood trickling down his lips.

"hongbin’s such a fool" lucas mumbled as he took circles around him "he didnt get it when all of them gave clues"

He walked to the window and shut it pulling down the screens bringing darkness to prevail the whole area.

"someone shouldn't believe in another so much" he chuckled and crouched near him " i didnt believe in you either"

Taehyung was still but his eyes kept rolling inside his lids, he was listening to lucas, subconsciously.

"i knew you would jump the other way any time, which is why i had seperate plans for suzy" he grabbed his hair and pulled them down to make him face up.

"she is mine, mine only, and anyone in my way for that ill kill them... but you? I never expected you would stand in my way like this? What a pity that you should die in my own hands" he acted sadly "and get killed in our own little house"

He roared a laughter and picked up a kitchen knife from his jacket on the stand. He looked scarily brutal with a cruel smirk lifting from his lips, the knife shined its luminance on his face and eyes making him look monstrous.

Taehyung was still motionless but the desire to live clinged onto him and he twitched his fingers. Lucas noticed this and smiled.

"so your listening to me, uh?" he leaned forward "then listen to this too,
suzy will be mine forever and hongbin will die in my hands soon"

He raised the knife above his head to stab but was interrupted when the door behind, crashed open and fell into pieces in front of them.

It was a smoky field and it was shattered in one blow. Hongbin was standing on the other side breathing hard. His eyes widened by the sight and he sprang in full force onto lucas knocking him off his feet. He Punched him right across his face atleast a 7th time before he tobbled him over and kicked his stomach.

Lucas was coughing badly but reflexly pulled hongbin's feet from the below marking a hard blow on hongbin's head as he landed straight on his head on the ground.

Immediately he switched positions and sat on hongbin, fisting him continuously on his face and chest. Hongbin combated equally defensive but ultimately lucas succeeded in knocking him off with one hard punch on his nose and he fainted bleeding from the nose.

Lucas got tired and got up from him, walked back a few steps slowly. He was still coughing like an old man. Hongbin was lying motionless blood-drenched nose and mouth. Conscious or what, far from that, was he even alive, was a question.

Ravi was hurrying in the ride, impatience touching the peak in his brain and ken closely monitoring the location on his phone beside him.

"they should be fine" ken said still giving a hopeless stare at ravi "they should"

Ravi looked at him in despair and pressed the pedal even harder. He was worrying about Taehyung more than anyone because Taehyung and ravi were together ever since ravi joined the police dept. Whatever maybe the reason he lied for, but he was still his close mate and colleague that he is concerned about.

Ken kept making calls through out the journey. They had to travel to the outskirts of the city and Both kept getting anxious as every minute passed.

'stay put taehyung-ah and hongbin-ah we are coming' he thought praying for their survival

Hongbin coudnt move a muscle, lucas had thrashed his rib cage and punctured his abdomen. He coudnt even open his eyes because of the swelling and black eye.

He had taken out all the grudge he had on taehyung onto hongbin. He was taking his breath, moved near the wall and squatted low.

"why, why.... Why WHYY!!!" he yelled like a lunatic "why the bloody hell do you always get in my way" he spat some blood on the floor.

wiping the blood stain from his lips he chuckled "hahaaahaaaaa.... No wonder. I should've known, you trusted him so much" he gestured to hongbin who was still unconscious on the floor a few metres away "you like him so much you love him so much, despite he betraying you, you still yearn for him" he sighed "your friend, yeah,.... I understand your feelings"

He spoke in a soft toned down voice. He took a few steps towards hongbin "i get it, why you looked after him so much, even now, i get it"

He kept talking as he moved closer to him, "you are trying to tell me... " he paused "that, i, lucas cant kill that fellow lying there on the chair unless i kill his bestie first, which is you"

He suddenly grabbed the knife from the floor "so let it be, goodbye first lee hongbin" he smirked and swung to drive it through hongbin's chest straight.

Ken and ravi had reached. Ken hurried inside to search for them. He noticed lucas but from the other side of the corridor.

"STOP!!!" he yelled and took huge steps to run to them from the other end.

But before lucas could thrust his arm on hongbin’s chest, a sharp hard blow fell on the side of his head, from behind. Within no time he held his head and fell on the ground like a lifeless toy.

A Thin stream of blood leaked out of his ear and nose and he barely looked alive.

A half drooping man with messy hair and a bleeding wrist, holding a broken lampstand which broke by its blow on lucas, stood beside his body. He had torn the ropes off his wrist to save hongbin.

"TAEHYUNG-AH !!" ken yelled from the entrance who just noticed the man. He looked at ken and then back at hongbin, dropped the broken half of the lampstand and collapsed on the floor beside the two of them.
