It was Friday now, game day. My cheerleading uniform was hugged tight against my body as My team and I chanted for our offense.

Rhett got behind the snapper and called out the play, his hands automatically going up, ready to catch the ball.

The last 13 seconds of the game, he went in and made a 20 yard touchdown, winning the game for us.

Everyone in the stands were screaming, celebrating the win. Me and my other teammates were on the sidelines, jumping up and down, screaming about how we just won our first playoff game.

The football players started huddling around Rhett and I went in and grabbed Maizy, hugging her as we jumped up and down.

I pulled away and saw Rhett jogging towards me, his helmet being held with his fingers, his damp, curly hair slightly bouncing.

He slowed down and he reached me and pulled my face into his, our lips instantly touching. I was on my tip toes as my arms started wrapping around him. I could feel a lot of stares but at this moment, I didn't really care. The softness of his lips made me go crazy.

He pulled away and kissed my forehead.

"Meet me by the locker rooms" he said

I nodded my head and watched him walk back with his team to the locker rooms to shower and get cleaned up.

I look to my right and see Maizy with her jaw almost on the ground and I instantly felt a wave of guilt wash over me.

I walked toward her "Maizy, I'm so sor-
"Bitch! How could you not tell me you were with that fine ass man?? I'm so jealous right now I could slap you"
"Wait, I thought you'd be mad?"
"Why would I be mad? Just because he's best friends with my shitty ex boyfriend doesn't mean you can't be with him. He didn't break my heart, Garrett did. Plus...have you seen that mans arms...lord help me."

I laughed and shoved her arm as we went over to the metal fence to grab our bags and leave the stadium.

I changed into some more comfy clothes first as I waited outside of the boys locker room.

Sweaty football player after sweaty football play and finally he walks out, freshly showered and changed.

He smiled when he saw me and walked my way, snaking his arms around my waist and picking me up, kissing me yet again.

He set me down and I looked back up at him.

"You didn't have to kiss me in front of everyone." I said as I picked up my cheer bag from the ground as we walked to his car.
"Oh but I wanted to, I wanted everyone to know that your mine" He smiled
"But we haven't even been on a date yet."
"I know, but I have this weird feeling about you, Rhiannon, I don't know how to explain it"

After that day, everything changed with us. We became the "it" couple and it was amazing. I knew I had a mate out there but when I was with Rhett, I didn't care. I was so head over heels in love with this man.

After he graduated, he started going to camps for future alphas so I couldn't see him as much but it kinda helped me focus on school a little more. I missed him a lot but he was there for my graduation day. My person, my rock. He was always there for me.

"I am so proud of you, Rhiannon." My dad said, embracing me in a hug.
"Thanks dad"
I looked over at my mom, her whole face was wet from sobbing.
"Mom, stop crying, it's okay."
"I know it's just my baby is growing up." She said, whisper her tears with a tissue she brought, leaning up against my big brother.
"Congrats lil sis"
