I got ready for my first day as the pack doctor. I wore nice black high waisted dress pants with a side zipper and a white button down that was tucked in. My white coat was thrown on top as I threw my hair up in a high pony tail and put some light makeup on. I never was a fan of makeup but I didn't want to scare off my first patients.

The drive to the pack house was quiet but my wolf was restless. She wanted to be let out to run so she could let off steam but she also wanted her mate to want her back. I felt bad because I wanted the same thing.

"Why doesn't he want us?" Marcy asked, practically whining like a child.
"Because, he already has a Luna"
"But we're his mate, why doesn't that mean anything to him?"
"I don't know...I really wish I knew."

I was sad for a moment then I had to come back to life so I wouldn't be moping around all day.

I pulled in the pack house and parked in the back. I walked through and found my office.

Mahogany wood was everywhere, it was very nice. Obviously a little masculine...I definitely knew the last pack doctor was a man cause they really didn't change a thing in here.

I sat down at the desk and started fixing things around the room to make it more homey. I brought a few pictures of Weston and my family as well as a picture from graduation of my best friend Maizy and I. I placed them on my desk and around the office and it instantly felt better.

I started looking through patient files to see upcoming appointments to see who would be coming in today.

I have about 6 appointments today, most are physicals for the warriors and I have some different ones for sick kids and a pregnant shewolf.

I heard a knock on the door and a young man walks in.

"Hi, I'm Charlie, your assistant."

I got up from my seat and walked over to him.

"I'm Dr. Rhiannon Miller, really nice to meet you."
"Likewise" he smiled "so we have a few appointments today, I don't know if you had a chance to look at the schedule yet."
"Yes I just looked at it, i already briefed myself on the patients"
"Very impressive. Let me take you to the examination room so you can get adjusted to it before the patients come in"
"Sounds good"

We walk literally right next door into the examination room. It's very clean and organized. I quickly see where things are so I don't look stupid trying to find my things when a patient is in here.

We walk out and I smell him instantly. I freeze in my spot knowing that I will have to talk to him.

"Rhiannon" his raspy voice spoke
"Alpha" I said, not wanting to call him by his name.
I could tell me calling him alpha got to him because I saw him wince slightly at the sound of it.

"We need to talk. Please come with me to my office."

I nodded my head and I followed him to his office, trying to ignore my wolf going crazy and the tension I feel as I get closer to him.

We get in his office and he slams the doors shut, locking them.

"Is he mine?" He asked instantly.
"What?" I try to play stupid
"Stop Rhi," He said impatiently "Is. He. Mine."

I was silent for a second and then looked up at him, nodding my head.

"Yes." I said

He growls instantly and slams his hand on his desk, making the wood crack slightly.

"How could you not tell me?!" He yelled
"I TRIED! I wrote you and called you, trying to tell you but you never showed interest in wanting me so I gave up. I thought you found your mate and if you didn't want me, I know you wouldn't want a son who you had with a high school girlfriend!" I spoke sternly.
"So you just kept him away?"
"Yes. I kept him away from a man who couldn't bother staying in contact with me. Me getting hurt is one thing but my son getting hurt...that's a different story. I wasn't going to drag him into something that was going to possibly hurt him."

He was quiet for a second and he looked back up at me, his eyes were dark from how angry he was.

"What did you tell him about me?"
"I told him that you loved him but you couldn't stay."

He winced slightly at sat down, running his fingers through his curly hair. I so badly wanted to run up to him and give him a hug but I held myself back. I couldn't do that anymore.

He let out a large sigh "I missed out on 5 years of my own sons life. Our sons life all because I was stupid and irrational."

My heart ached for him. I just so badly wanted to be close to him, to comfort him.

As if he was reading my mind, he got up from his seat and walked over to me. He stood still for a second but then walked closer and wrapped me in a hug. I instantly feel the tingles and sparks going through my body and I just so badly want to be closer to him. My arms snake around him as I squeeze him right. I've missed him so much.

I looked up at him, his eyes now back to the icy blue that I fell in love with so long ago.

He stared back at me intently, his hand moving up to my face, his finger tips slightly brushing against my cheek. I started to reach up and he leaned down, I wanted to feel him again. I needed it. My wolf needed it.

All of a sudden, our lips crashed against each other. Everything I have been aching for and missing, it was all here. So much passion and love went into this one kiss. His lips started massaging mine and my arms went up around his neck, pulling him closer to me. Our tongues danced with each other as he shoved me against his office wall, grabbing my wrists and pinning them above my head.

His lips attacked my neck, sending chills and sparks down my spine and throughout my body at each place his lips touched. I wanted him so badly. I have only ever been with him, no matter how embarrassing that sounds, he was the only man I ever wanted to be with. Maybe deep down I knew he was my mate.

All of a sudden there was a knock at the door and our kiss ended just as quickly as it started.

My wolf wanted more. That kiss would definitely make the bond more strong and I think that it was probably a mistake. He has a whole ass wife...a Luna. A woman that isn't me and who is better than me in every way. Why do you think he made her his Luna?

"That was a mistake. I'm sorry. It won't happen again Alpha." I say, walking out of the door to find my assistant Charlie with his eyes wide open.

"Uh Dr. Miller, your first patient is here."
"Okay, thank you. Send him to the exam room. I'll be in there shortly."

He nodded his head and walked away. I turned around to look at my mate one more time and then turned on my heels to go to my office. Today was going to be a long day.
