everyone presents at sixteen, omegas go into heat, alphas go rut, and betas experience hot flashes and sickness.
each rank has a special eye color, omegas are a golden yellow, betas a vibrant blue and alphas deep red. they only appear when a persons wolf takes control or is highly present.
betas are not just normal people. depending on their chosen mate, they take the role of that persons alpha or omega, and once marked and claimed, their bodies shift to satisfy their partner, for example producing slick or gaining the ability to knot.
unlike the old times, no one really feels the need to shift into their wolf anymore.
people aren't judged or based on race or gender, but by status. it's a blessing and a curse.
and finally, each rank has their own array of scents. omegas are usually sweet, soft smelling, alphas smell earthy and rich, and betas are a perfect mix of both.
