(unknown contact) : hey,  this is san. the customer who you gave the note too? if this a prank tell me now so i'll know if i have the wrong number.

its yunho's lunch break, and when he sees the message from the cute omega he met the other day, he can't help but laugh. yet on the inside, his wolf is ridden with sadness. has he been stood up before? is that why he asked that? yunho sighs and runs a hand through his hair, quickly messaging the other back.

no, this isn't a prank. i meant to put my number there , san :)

"yunho!" the alpha's head shoots up as hongjoong rushes into the break room, a wide grin on his face. "i forgot to tell you! mingi asked me on a date, well a group date, but it's still a date! and i was joking around with him saying he'll have to be a gentleman and pick me up and he said yes and now i'm freaking out because mingi is taking on a date yunho a DATE." the alpha can't help but laugh at his friends excitement.

"mingi? the same guy who's been eating your ass and the dick you've sucked for like two years? why are you guys going on a date now of all times?"

"b-because we had an agreement when we first started messing around! no feelings involved, it was just for pleasure. but things have changed, yunho. i think he actually likes me and..i'd be lying if i said i wasn't maybe falling in love.."

"it's your life, hyung. do what you think is best." yunho takes a bite out of his sandwich, as hongjoong explains the rest.

"but the thing is..it's a group date, so it'll be me and mingi, and three other people i don't know that well. jongho is bringing his boyfriend, and jongho's boyfriend asked his friend and THEIR boyfriend to come because jongho's boyfriend doesn't know everyone that well and i'm in the same predicament, so i need you to find a date and come with me so i don't feel highly out of place."

after his hyung's highly confusing explanation, and hongjoong having to draw it out on a piece of paper for the young alpha to understand, he agrees.

"i might already have a date, you see. you know that customer i helped the other day and gave them the bagel? well i gave him my number, and he texted me today."

"oh you mean san! he's a sweet guy, a regular customer too. i know him- wait are you gonna ask him to be your date?" once the beta processes yunho's words, he grins and slaps the alpha on the head.

"you finally had the balls to shoot your shot with someone! i'm so proud of my son! now you must ask him to come on the date with us! it'll be great! oh i have to go tell mingi-" and with that the excited beta runs out of the break room, and yunho lets out a breathe of exhaustion from listening to hongjoong talk.

just as yunho is about to go back on the door to take orders, his phone dings again.

(unknown contact) : well i'm glad you didn't prank me. i would have sent my friends to key your car.

yungo laughs at san's straight forward nature, and messages the other back.

rest assured, i am yunho, the friendly barista. the normal thing to do when you ask to meet with someone again is go to coffee, but since i work at a cafe i suggest we meet somewhere else, if you want to of course.
