Sova Vampires are very rare, real, and determined to prove that even vampires can be forgiven. Only problem... the vampire Realm has ordered them killed before they prove salvation is possible

I've recently (As usaul) have had the plesure of talking with BlackCherryGlass the writer of Sova Vampire. I didn't really get a chance to speak with him but from what I couold tell he was a very talented and extremely kind.

1 ) When did you start writing?

I enjoyed storytelling assignments in elementary school, but lacked the grammer to impress anyone.  In nineth grade english class, we were asked to write a short story which I did.  That week, it was the most popular story of all submitted.  My teacher asked if she could keep the original and encouraged me to pursue creative writing.  I studied creative writing in college and found it was fairly easy to impress the class and teachers with even short stories.

2)Was their someone, or something that inspired you to start?

I did like Jack London and Steinbeck, but Stephen King really wooed me too.  However, the more I read about Stephen King's success the more I craved the fame and money.  I began to drift away from the .... joy.

3) Is Sova Vampire  the only book your writing?

I have written 3 other novels, but SOVA VAMPIRES is the only one 'published'.   One I wrote in the late 80's called,  MYSTERIA, is still sitting in a 566 page hand-typed pile.  I want to type it in on Wattpad, but it is over 200,000 words.

4) In you title was does Sova mean? In your book you say "Soft Vampire" But how did you come across this. Why did you choose the word "Sova"

I crave uniqueness.  Other words in English are a concoction of words.  SOVA VAMPIRES are 'soft'  in comparison to vampires and the vampire theme in general.  I wanted readers to see a human side of some vampires.  In all fields, there are those that have ventured and made mistakes, have regrets, and wished they could turn back the clock.   Why not, and especially why not with vampires!

5) When and how did you find wattpad? (:P)

I passed on my love of writing to my daughter who discovered Wattpad.  She then introduced me to it. Her mother has restricted my daughter from writing at this time which is sad because she was also becoming very popular.  Hopefully, my daughter can resume soon and the world will see the talent she has!!

6) Why did you stop writing for so long?

Until the internet and sites like Wattpad, an aspiring writer, even if good, only had a snowball's chance in hell of ever getting published.  Combine that with need to do something else to pay the bills and voila... the 20 year hiatus.

8) What was the short story you wrote in ninth grade about?

The story in nineth grade was about a young martial arts student who had trained with a 'forgotten' master from China.  The young man had an internal conflict with killing anyone and it was the only thing that his master despised in the young student.  The young man was brilliant in his skills and endurance, but this conflict wouldnt allow him to kill even if attacked.  He just considered human life too sacred and his master refused to train him any further.
