𝘼𝙪𝙧𝙤𝙧𝙖 :: 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙠 𝙎𝙚𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙝𝙬𝙖

You tap your pen on the hard old plastic desk that was covered in several layers of gum from past classes. Your eyes scan around the room and land on the clock, "𝙛𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙨" you thought, feeling your eyes become drowsy and shut slowly. Losing track of time, you find yourself in a deep slumber, letting your head fall to the desk and the cheap pen fall from your hand, hitting the floor with a sharp tap.

A hand grips your shoulder lightly and slowly shakes you, alerting you to wakeup. However, you were a deep sleeper, and no light shaking could wake you up. The hand slowly let go of you and ran itself through the owners hair. Suddenly, the chair is pulled out from underneath you and you find yourself flat on the ground, rubbing your eyes as you hear footsteps walk out the door and down the hallway. As your eyes finally adjust, you run out of the class looking for this mystery person, but the halls are all empty and the clock now reads 4:30pm, over an hour since class finished.

You hang your head down in defeat and collect the rest of your belongings from your locker. You close the cold metal door with a click and begin your walk home. The sun disappears behind an approaching grey cloud and the quick change raises goosebumps on your arms. Loose gravel is swiped sideways with your foot as your mind drifts to the person from earlier. From the small glimpse you saw of their legs you couldn't even make out which gender they were, which is no use at all.

You decided that youd think more about it later and closed your eyes, falling asleep again to the sweet sound of a light wind through the cherry tree next to your window. As the sun set, an array of pastel blues and greens painted the sky, illuminating the clouds as the sun disappeared over the horizon and small specks of light adorned the bleak night sky, turning it into something beautiful.
