Picture above is my own art of our doggo boi. It's the only full scene I've ever done and I'm hella proud of it. Anyway, he is another one of my own characters, and this chapter is going to be more of an introduction of him. Treat him well~

The dog, whom you dubbed Sirius, bounced back surprisingly fast. The reason he seemed so ill at first seemed to be because he was lost at sea for a while, at least that's what you and everyone else who saw his condition guessed. The one thing that bothered you though was no matter how much he ate, he never put on any extra weight. His bones were still prominent under the thick fur but he didn't seem to mind. Eventually, you came to the conclusion that he was just built that way and it was normal.

Within a week of finding Sirius, he had bonded well to you. Everywhere you went, he was a step behind, watching your every move with what you guessed was adoration. It was hard to tell when he had no actual eyes but every time you looked at him, his little tail would wag so fast his whole backside shook. That was enough of a clue for you to understand he was infatuated with you and frankly, it was adorable.

Katakuri even grew to like him, showing the animal affection in his own grumpy way. At one point you caught them napping together in the library. Katakuri was sprawled out with Sirius laying on top of him, the tip of his nose touching your husband's chin. It made you wish you had a camera so you could have another great picture of him napping.

Sirius turned out to be a great nanny as well. You'd never leave him alone with Jasper, but whenever you set the baby down he was always following him as he crawled around, making sure he was safe. If he wandered too far off, Sirius would always pick him up by the nape of his shirt and tote him back over to you.

The creature had quickly made itself a part of your little family before you knew it. But you were still bothered that you couldn't figure out what he was or where he came from. You'd scoured the library and book stores in town for information on strange creatures, but he was never mentioned in anything you read. You even went as far as calling some of the family on Whole Cake Island to see if they or Big Mom knew anything about animals like him and they knew nothing.

Sirius was a puzzle you didn't have the tools to solve, not yet anyway. For now, you decided it was best to relax and wait and see what information came your way. The constant search wasn't pulling up any useful information and you had your hands full with Jasper anyway. The baby was beginning to show a mischievous streak and liked to keep you on your toes.

"Alright Sirius." You sighed. "How about we put Jasper down for a nap?" You needed one too in all honesty. The baby had been fussy all day and it was beginning to wear on you.

Sirius made a chirpy sound at you in agreement. Once he had felt better he started making a wide array of noises that no dog should be able to make. It was weird at first but you learned each noise usually meant something in particular or matched up with his mood. You could swear he understood human speech as well with the way he responded to you.

Your favorite place to nap with Jasper was on the library of course. Katakuri added a huge armchair in the room that you loved. He got it for himself but you use it more than he does. Jasper murmured his baby talk in your arms on the way to the library, already starting to fall asleep.

The walk was quick and soon you were reclining in library, snugged up to Jasper with Sirius curled up beside the chair. You wanted to pass out along with your son but an idea popped in your head.

"Sirius." You whispered. He let out a yawn and faced you. "You know what I'm saying, don't you?"

He tiles his head and clicked his teeth together lightly. You didn't know what that meant.
