The Tiger and the Wolf

Titus was going down and you didn't care how it happened. You stormed into the meeting room right as they had finished up, receiving stares from all everyone. "I'm sorry for barging in but I need to steal Kata from you if possible Mama." You spoke through clenched teeth, barely keeping a civil tone.

"Go ahead." She didn't question your temperament. Neither did your husband as he followed you out into the empty hall.

"Is Brûlèe on her way over or is she still home?"

"She should be on her way here soon. Did something happen?"

"Yes but not with her." You continued on like the one woman army you were.

"(Y/n), stop." Katakuri grabbed your arm and dragged you into him. "Breathe for a second and talk to me."

You closed your eyes and took a few deep breaths. The anger didn't subside but you were able to think more clearly. "Titus is a piece of shit and needs to die." You stated matter-of-factly.

He blinked a couple times, processing what you said. "I like him about as much as you do but I don't see why such lengths are necessary."

"He started talking about marrying Pudding and the things he would do to her and then he threatened Jasper's life if I tried anything against him."

"He. Did. What?"

"I told you he needs to die." You crossed your arms. "I won't let him touch Pudding or Jasper. Oh, and then he had the nerve to call me a fucking leashed dog. All because I don't have a pack."

"Look, I'll talk to Mama about it. Do you know where he is now?"

"He mentioned doing something with Daifuku but that's about it."

"Alright, he's busy then, good. Stay with Brûlèe and Jasper while I get this sorted out."

"Kata you're the best." You sighed. "I don't know what I'd do without you."

"I don't think you'd ever have a problem, you're more capable than you think (Y/n)."

"If you say so." You smiled. "Now go convince Mama she doesn't want Titus around before I start something."

The wait for Brûlèe was killing you. She should have made it back by now. Something felt wrong. Forget waiting around, you were going to find them. You quickly shifted forms and left your spot by the front gates of the palace, quickly catching the mixed scents of Jasper, Sirius, and Brûlèe.

From what you could tell, they were still in the forest. That put you even more on edge. You covered ground fast, the soreness from the day before forgotten. Aches meant nothing when your family could be in trouble. You could tell you were getting closer, they hadn't even left the area surrounding Brûlèe's home.

You shifted back to your human form and strode towards the sounds of voices. You could make out both Brûlèe and Titus, they sounded like they were arguing while Jasper let out a few shrill cries, making your blood boil.

"Remember what I told you Titus?" You barked at him. It looked like he was trying to convince Brûlèe to hand the baby over but she had him tucked into her chest protectively. Sirius stood beside her, hackles raised as he snarled and snapped at the man. He wasn't doing a good job of making friends from the looks of it.

"(Y/n), I didn't expect to see you here." He smiled innocently as if nothing was off.

"And I didn't expect you to try something stupid so fast."

He laughed. "I knew you couldn't be bothered to mind your own business. Wolves are always like that. I was planning ahead, covering my ass. You know?"
