t'challa walked towards the opening air craft, and immediately took notice of her. he didn't even need to think twice.

a smile appeared at the young woman, causing zana to blush. before the two hugged tightly. sam tensing up, as the two laughed at one another's outfits.

"never took you for a cat kinda guy." zana joked thinking about the days when they were younger- he always loved lions. not the kitty cats he called cats.

"things change." his thick accent erupted into her ears, making her smile and heart warm.

"captain." he diverted his attention to the rest of the group, zana stepping out of the way before realizing Okoye- her boarding school roommate from all those years ago was standing right there. "Koye!"she smiled, Okoye smiled briefly before responding to t'challa.

t'challa and the group started walking towards the compound, okoye hanging back to hug her long lost best friend. the two hugged, before making there way along with the group. zada leveled with sam and bucky, listening to the conversation. sam seemed confused and distant and bucky was trying very hard not to laugh at him. sam always regretting breaking up with zana, bucky finding the story irresitably funny.

the group made it's way into the palace later on, and enjoyed a surprising dinner and were departing into there rooms.

zana laid down on her back, placed her hand on her stomach and let out a deep breath. no idea how long she had been keeping it in. her mind was buzzing with flashbacks and a smile erupted on her face. a few minutes later, someone knocked on the door and she grunted sitting up. she was exhausted and wanted nothing more than to fall asleep.

she opened the door, and there was t'challa. "hi." she smiled pulling some hair behind her ear. "i was wondering if you wanted to accompany on a stroll for old time sakes?" he smiled kindly, zana quickly pulled her phone out of her jeans and grabbed her cardigan. the two walked out of the back door and into the great woods. a favorite of there younger selves.

"well i've been in new york since we left. never really went anywhere after that. we always seemed to stay put at home. my dad never telling us why." she mused.

"unlike you- who i have seen travel to and fro. im super jealous by the way." she laughed. "why when all i wanted to do was be in your position." he replied looking ahead. the night was turning beautiful, the clouds surrounded the moon but never touched it. a light breeze forming in the distant, causing a light wave on the lake.

"tough isn't it? my parents weren't really around because of that. always leaving, leaving us with our nanny before i went to school." she said touchingly. "i never realized how hard you had it until it was on us to bring africa peace." he said looking at her. she nodded, before looking up at him.

"never realized how hard it was not saying goodbye." he said softly, stopping mid stroll. "it was worth it right? to see my once again?" she smiled grabbing ahold of his hand lightly. he peered down before turning and walking.

the beautiful night turned sour as sam noticed out his window zana and t'challa.
