zara looked at the beautiful country, t'challa's view was exquisite. the whole day they have been making up for lost time and catching up. it was like they never seperated. t'challa was currently signing some things for the kingdom, zara looked over her shoulder and smiled. he was the spitting image of his father, someone her and her sister had always enjoyed seeing as kids. t'challa looked back and met her eyes. she looked away quickly and blushed. he stood up and walked over and debated if he should touch her. he decided against it and walked next to her on the balcony.
"if you want to hold me, you can." she said nervously. she could sense that he wanted to. he paused and thought for a second before wrapping her arms around her torse. she breathed in his scent, and leaned back. he held her softly and carefully.
"it's beautiful." she said looking around, constantly. she couldn't get enough. "after we win, come live here. with me. with your family." he spoke, his broken english causing her butterflies. she turned around in his arms, debating and deciding. "t'cha-" he cut her off. "think about it. it doesn't have to be today. it could be three years from now. imani, whenever you want. " he reasoned. she smiled, wrapping her arms around him. she wanted to be with him here in africa. the country she loved and cared for still. but she still had un finished business with somebody named sam. t'challa knew that.
the two of them looked back out over the country, and imagined a future together. this was home. imani was still unsure. she was unsure about her future in this war, as well as sam. she needed to speak to him. get what was laying on her chest, before she made any decision.
zara would love to call this home. she still had one year left, and would want to come home. hoping they would both make it through this war and see one another again, she closed her eyes and savored the warmth of t'challa's chest.

imani walked through the castle, looking for sam. she needed to speak to him, and finish what he didn't all those years ago. sam was currently looking for imani as well. he had so much he needed to say, and get off his chest.
"damn." imani murmured as they bumped into one another, as they turned the corner. "here." he said holding out his hand, she gratefully took it and stood up. "just the person i was looking for." he said, she nodded. "me too." she replied. there was a door to the right of sam and he opened it to find a sitting room, and ushered her in. "listen, we need to talk sam." she began. "let me go first." he cut her off. she sat down on the plush couch and listened.
"i am sorry, for what i did to you when we were 18. im sorry i broke it off right before you went away to school. i was an ass about it too." he finished. "but how the heck do you know the kitty cat." he added. she rolled her eyes, at his arrogance. "what you did was hell. it took me months to get over it, you broke up with me after four of the best years of my life. you didn't care." she started standing up. "i waited months for you to say something. even a hello. for me to move on. then i come to find out you started dating my best friend right after. you lied, when you said you wanted to start college alone." she finished.
"just like you never told me about t'challa. how you two knew one another." he fought back. she shook her head," i never lied. i never said anything because my father wanted to keep us safe." she said closing her eyes and turning away from sam. she sniffled, letting a few tears fall. she missed him so much. she wanted him back so badly. "imani..." sam said walking around to face her, and noticed her tears. he already knew, she didn't have to say a thing. he pulled her in, rubbing her back. "i miss him so much." she said brokenly. "i know." he replied, thinking about how she comforted him when his mother died when they were freshman.
"i know." he said again. she stepped out of his arms, and wiped her face. "i never said a thing, because we were no longer royalty. we were no longer the family of africa. so it was not our place, to say." she explained. "there's a respect that you don't cross. and after my mother died- the queen of africa, it was our duty to pass it on to t'challa and his family. our families have been doing this for thousands of years. and after we gave the thrown we left for new york and never looked back." she finished.
"and i never told you about my powers- because i didn't know about them until five months ago." she added. he nodded.
"are you staying here with t'challa?" he asked. she shook her shoulders, "i don't know yet. i wanted to talk to you first." she said. he nodded, "you can. i'm not gonna hold you back." he finished. "i knew why i always liked you." she said smiling, feeling good for the first time since they broke up. "now, can you show me something?" he asked grinning. she smiled, looking around for something. she saw a pillow and opened it up and took out some feathers. "we tell no one." she said hoping for a promise. he nodded and laughed.
she set them down on the ground, and lifted them up smiling. "oh shit." he said as they swirled around the two. "damn, imani. impressive." he laughed touching one.
"no go and find your friend who finds everything funny." referencing bucky. he nodded, hugging her one last time before heading out.
she walked out of the room before jogging back to t'challas room. she couldn't wait to tell him.
"t'challa." she said opening up his door, and finding the two of them.
