"He should be here be now" Natsu comments, pacing up and down his and Gray's current room. Happy sighs, putting his fish down before giving Natsu a worried glance.

"I'm sure he's fine Natsu. It's not like he particularly enjoys drinking or socializing all too much."

"That's the problem Happy!" Natsu huffs, crossing his arms stubbornly across his chest. Happy gives Natsu a knowing look before spreading his wings.

"I'll go and have a look around" Happy assures, flying towards the door.

"Thanks pal."

Gray groaned, weakly standing up from the bar stool roughly placing his glass on the bar.

"This really wasn't my plan" Gray slurred grumpily. Glaring at Jackson (who was also drunk) who simply gave a lazily smirk in response.

"I gave you all the information I had, which was quite a bit mate."

"Yeah I know, I just didn't plan on getting so damn drunk" Gray grumbled, swaying to the side slightly as he reached into his pocket to get a few cash notes to pay for all his drinks. He was about to stumble out of the bar, before Jackson grabbed his wrist.

"I've had enough for one night. Let go" Gray hissed, attempting to rip his arm out of Jackson's clutches. Jackson seemed to be processing things for a moment before responding.

"Just a little longer?"

Gray stared at Jackson, whose grip tightened out of either fear or persistence Gray wasn't sure. But he recognized the fiery sensation of pain rippling through his flesh and the terror sinking deep within his chest.

"It's midnight. I got here and sat down at seven. I've stayed for long enough"Gray states, before pulling away from Jackson who simply sat there seemingly shocked at his own actions. Gray rolled his eyes, before stumbling out of the club. Looking up at the sky with a stoic expression on his face. He was now a hundred percent sure, he was not ready for this mission.

Hissing at the abrupt sensation of the cold air cutting as if they were knives at his skin (an unusual feeling he can only get when his mind and magic are no longer cooperating together) he gradually made his way to the hotel. Gathering a few weird looks as he weakly wandered across the reception area, hoping that he'd somehow be able to find the room they were staying in. He presumed it was on the first floor, mainly due to the fact he didn't know if he could make it up a set of stairs.

Presumed.

Gray was saved from the oncoming storm of thoughts by somebody calling his name. Faintly recognizing the voice, turning round to see a confused Natsu wearing some sort of concern on his features.

Gray almost laughed at the irony. But he managed to hold it in.

As soon as Natsu saw Gray, the scent of intoxication hit him like a tidal wave. He reeked of alcohol, and the hazy, unfocused glint in his eyes only confirmed his suspicions. Natsu huffed, making his way to Gray before grabbing his wrist. Immediately letting go when Gray hissed in pain from the touch. Quickly inspecting Gray's wrist, Natsu was angered to find a red mark encasing his skin, which was beginning to transform into a purple hue.

"What on earth happened? Did someone take advantage of you?" Natsu growled, a surprising sense of possessiveness engulfing him. He had never particularly
been possessive over anyone, even Happy, so this new emotion was new to him. But he didn't find himself disliking it.

"Why do you care?" Gray grumbles, staring with hazy eyes into Natsu's olive orbs.

"What's our room number?" Gray questions, his words almost slurring together and exhaustion laced within them. Natsu stares at him before shaking his head.

"You are so drunk. I can't believe you."

"I can't believe me either" Gray huffs, stubbornly turning his head to the side,

"Now can you tell me the damn room number?"

"19" Natsu notified him, dragging him down the hall to their room before getting the key out.

"Where are the girls? Please tell me there not in there" Gray almost pleads. Natsu shakes his head, opening the door into their room to reveal the double bed in the centre.

"They've done this to the both of us. Lucy and Erza and sharing in another room and we are well, you can figure it out"

"You've got to be kidding me" Gray comments, barely able to contain his balance as he stumbled into the room. Tripping over the bed frame while making his way towards it. Gray mentally prepared himself for the impact soon to come, but when he found none, he slowly opened his eyes to find himself hovering above the ground, Natsu just about holding him up.

"You really are an idiot aren't you?"

"I'm not in the mood Natsu" Gray huffs, slowly attempting to stand up. The bed merely three inches away.

Gray sighed, eventually reaching the bed covers and lying upon them. Gray releases a sigh of relief, loosing reaching towards the back of his neck to remove his treasured necklace, Natsu catches onto the motion, gently un-clasping the chain before putting on the bedside table.

"So are you going to tell me what happened?"

"In the morning" Gray grumbled sleepily, closing his eyes and slowly drifting off. Natsu sighed, slowly running his hand through Gray's navy locks.

'What are you doing to me. Never-mind me,'

Natsu sighed.

'What are you doing to yourself?'
