Chara's Perspective
As the knife plummeted to Frisk's chest, Chara's insane smile changed to despair.

"Chara?" Frisk smiled at Chara's ghostly figure. "It's so nice to meet you!"
After many years, a human had fallen down. Just like Chara and others have. Frisk was the very first to notice him. He had felt forgotten and more bitter towards the monsters. Flowey couldn't even see him either. Chara decided to follow Frisk on her journey.
After every reset, Frisk started to forget Chara more and more. When reminded, she smiled so preciously that Chara forgave her. Over and over, Frisk kept dying. She eventually couldn't see him anymore. Chara gotten angrier and more spiteful. He wanted to kill all the monsters who had caused her death. To be forgotten again.
Seeing Frisk fall in love with Sans was so painful to him as well. He hated Sans the most. He plotted for Sans to hate Frisk in return. All these deaths. Resets.
That way, Frisk can be all Chara's.
Chara also been in many other timelines too. Yet, he couldn't find the pure Frisk he once met. The other Frisks he had come across turned out twisted like him.
Chara simply gotten bored of them. Killed them off. He just wanted the pure-hearted Frisk. They all weren't enough for him. He wasn't satisfied. He wanted that gentle demeanor, the total opposite of him.
Yet he found himself in a yandere kind of love for her. A bit sickening and possessive.

Chara blinked and dropped the knife, as he snapped out of his flashback. There was Frisk, lying in her own blood. This was her last reset, he knew. He ruined it.
