17 • 𝐀𝐤𝐚𝐳𝐚

Before death could come upon you , someone grabbed your waist. Closing your eyes waiting for the impact , but it never came. Your body then came in contact with fleshy material. "Wow! This demon's flesh is squishy!" Opening your eyes , your eyes met Inosuke's boar mask.

You then fell unconscious.

"I'm impressed!" Your eyes fluttered opened. Looking up , there was Rengoku holding you like a child. He was currently talking to Tanjiro.

While he was talking to Tanjiro , you started to stir trying to get comfortable. "Ah (Y/n)! Your wound stop moving! Use your total concentration to stop the bleeding." The flame pillar said as you tried.
Nothing , the bleeding didn't stop. He looked at you worriedly.

"We need bandages , do you have any Tanjiro?" Rengoku questioned worriedly. Looking down , the wound was near your abdomen. You coughed out more blood, "I'm fine." You said before standing up. Then , "BOOM!"

Looking towards it , a muscular man was standing facing the opposite way. Rengoku placed you beside Tanjiro , looking closely this pink Patrick looking guy had a number carved in his eye. 'Upper moon 3'... Like flash , the Upper moon 3 was about to land a punch on Tanjiro. Rengoku raced towards Tanjiro and deflected this attack.

"Nice katana." This demon said licking the blood Rengoku cut on him. He started to lick it grinning as he stared at you like you were a piece of food. "Kinky bastard." You muttered.

"Now why would someone as powerful as you attack the kid first?" The pink demon smirked, "I thought he might interrupt the conversation were about to have."

"What are you talking about. This is our first meeting and I already hate you." Rengoku said looking annoyed. "Of course I hate weak humans. When I see weakness , my skin crawls." He said , then you interrupted him. "Shut up Patrick-Star wannabe." He continued clearly ignoring you. "I have a great idea. Why don't you become a demon with her?" He glanced towards you.

"Hmm.. no thanks, she'll pass too." Rengoku bluntly answered. "I can tell by your strength! You're both Hashira's right!? You've developed your fighting spirit to the edge of perfection. What's your names?" Rengoku looked plainly at him. "I am the Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku." The pinkette glanced at you. "I am-" you looked away coughing blood on the ground. "- (Y/n) (L/n). The color Hashira!"

"I am Akaza. Let me tell you , Kyojuro , (Y/n) , why your power will truly never reach perfection. It's because your only human. You'll age and die! Become a demon Rengoku , (L/n) , if you do you could keep training for hundred of years getting powerful!"

Rengoku looked serious. "Growing old and dying is what gives meaning and beauty to the fleeting span of human life. It's precisely because we age and die that's our lives , have value and nobility. Strength is not a word that means much in regard to the flesh. This boy isn't week , and this girl isn't gonna become a demon! You and I have different values! I have many reasons for not becoming a demon."

"I see... If you won't become a demon, then I'll have to kill you." That was then when Rengoku and Akaza ran towards each other. 'What the hell... my eyes can't keep up!'

Your eyes darted all over trying to keep up. While watching Rengoku get closer to Akaza. Akaza deflected Rengoku , looking at Tanjiro he got up. "Don't move! This is an upper moon! He's way too powerful!" Watching them , a huge explosion happened again. Your eyes widened as one of Rengoku's eyes were cut.

They were talking before you heard Rengoku yell out. "I will fulfill my duty! I won't let anyone here die! And I will protect (Y/n) at all costs like I promised!" This was then Akaza chuckled. Then you heard , " Ninth form : destructive death annihilation type!" This was when you forgot about your wound in the stomach. Running fast towards the fight , "(Y/n)!"

"Rengoku!!" You ran towards the dust when you felt a body and shoved it out of your way. That was then  you felt a blade pierce the wound in the same place.  "Die!" You heard looking up meeting Akaza's eyes. His eyes widened a seeing that you took Rengoku's place. Looking to the side , you found Rengoku with a medium sized wound in his stomach. Your wound wasn't as bad , that's what you thought.

You coughed a bit of blood out. Akaza surprised seeing he attacked you took his fist out of your side. Before he could react Rengoku's sword came in contact with his neck trying to cut it off. Looking up you found the other two , Inosuke and Tanjiro running to help attack Akaza. Looking at Rengoku , he had blood coming out of his mouth with a missing eye. He also had arm almost cut off.

This was then you had a smile with blood at the corners.
'Heh- Is this how I'm gonna die. Fun.'
Then falling unconscious after your last thought.
